Where I Traveled in 2018 & My Favorite Photos

2018 has been one of the biggest years of my life yet. I’ve done more and seen more in 2018 than I ever dreamed I would. This year I became both a Getty Images Photographer and a Lonely Planet Travel Pathfinder, plus I was able to become a full time travel writer which meant I could travel for nearly half of the year, which still doesn’t seem real to me. 2018 was the year I finally got to visit places like Mexico City, Tulum, Querétaro, Cobá, Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, Malibu, West Hollywood, Anaheim & Disneyland, Laguna Beach, Irvine, Carmel, Chicago, Toronto, Niagara Falls, and I was able to explore more places in my home state of Michigan like Traverse City, Grand Rapids, Birmingham, and Walloon Village. I was able to return to some of my favorite places around Michigan like Holland for the Tulip Time Festival, Mackinac Island and Grand Hotel, and a number of other towns and villages like Leland, Isle Royale, and Marquette.

I took so many photographs during my travels that I’m really proud of, but I wanted to share with you some of my favorite images from each place I visited, and some of my favorite projects I’ve worked on this year.
