Whether you’re married, engaged, or spending time with a new flame; spending quality time together is one of the most important parts in any relationship! While Robin and I don’t have a dedicated day of the week we go out (because we usually do several things each week), I always love the adventures we share!
If you’re anything like me, picking out what to wear is always the part of the day/night that takes the longest, or at least it used to! Enter Duffield Lane! They have so many enchanting, flattering, well-made dresses, shifts, sweaters, and so much more! They make picking out an outfit a breeze! Plus, they are based in my home state of Michigan, so what’s not to love?
For our dinner and stroll along the beach in Waterford, MI, I selected their beautiful Taylor Dress in Eggnog, an easy to wear wrap style dress that made me feel comfortable and look beautiful (according to my husband, and a few other diners hehe). Comprised of a soft, and forgiving cotton, modal, and spandex, this would look fantastic on anyone!
Sandals with gold and silver tones tied in my gold jewelry with my white gold wedding band! Similar shoes here!
I opted for gold and pearl jewelry and accessories to compliment the soft, delicate eggnog color of the dress.
I’ve been told less is more when it comes to accessories, but I disagree! When it comes to stacking, I think more is more! I love to mix textures, colors, materials, and shapes to create eye-catching stacks of arm candy. In this case, I tied my pearl necklace from Prep-Obsessed in to my bracelet stack with a pearl bracelet from Brooks Brothers, a Kate Spade Gold and Mother of Pearl faced watch, a Kiel James Patrick Golden Wind Sail Anchor Bracelet, and gold toned bangles by Marley Lilly.
My favorite is the second from the right gold monogrammed bangle – it’s so well crafted! You can check these out here, here, and here! Plus, the bangle set is on sale, here!
The beach we visited at Dodge State Park was so beautiful and well maintained (except for the Swans which were eyeing us suspiciously, but left us alone, thankfully). I didn’t realize there were any beaches (relatively) near us, so this was a welcome discovery! Ps. This vintage Dooney & Bourke bag is almost as old as I am, I think they get more beautiful with time!
Keep an eye on my blog for my post wherein I style this dress, and a few others by Duffield Lane for a night of wine tasting, a family event, boating, apple picking, and so much more!
Until next time!
