What to Pack for Mallorca
Packing for Mallorca was easy, considering the weather rarely changes. Hot in spring, summer, and early autumn, a bit chilly in winter, Mallorca is all that’s best about the Mediterranean. This gorgeous spot in the Balearic Islands also boasts beautiful Moorish and Roman architecture, white sand beaches, olive groves, long mountain ranges, and rocky coves along the equally jagged coastline. It’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been, and packing for it was a delight. Here’s what to pack for Mallorca.
Dresses
Many nicer restaurants have a dress code. Packing a few solid choices meant I was able to dine anywhere we desired.
Swimsuit & Coverup
Swimming, sunbathing, and sailing all required proper attire. Bring at least a few swimsuits so you can launder and dry them between dips. A comfortable cover-up will grant you access to most restaurants, bars, and stores in the beach towns, though some require more formal attire for dinner.
Pajamas & Loungewear
What’s the point of a vacation if you don’t set aside to rest and relax? I love to bring comfortable pajamas and loungewear with me for days when we don’t leave our resort or hotel.
Sun Protection
Regular readers of my blog will know that my skin type does not tan well. In fact, I’m more likely to burn and go straight back to being pale, which is a major disappointment. Alas, one cannot fight genetics. So, I have an expansive collection of sun hats, several of which I brought with me. Sunblock, sunglasses, and coverups help here, too!
Sandals & Tennis Shoes
Having an assortment of shoes will make your time exploring this gorgeous island more enjoyable. I brought two pairs of sandals, one light and one dark. I also brought a comfortable pair of broken-in tennis shoes for days spent hiking and walking longer distances. Be sure to bring a mini first-aid kit in case you cut yourself, get a blister, or develop a sunburn.
Camera with Extra Batteries and Memory Cards
I take my camera with me everywhere I go. When I travel, I always bring extra batteries, memory cards, and something to copy my images onto, just in case I were to lose my camera or cards. I also love to bring a mobile phone charger, so I’m never without my phone in a foreign country.

Printed (or Saved) Reservations
Parts of Mallorca don’t have great service. So, it’s best to either print out or otherwise save your reservation confirmations to ensure a smooth travel experience. This is another good reason to carry a mobile charger with you!
