I was setting out my outfit for the day a few days ago when I realized I had lots of great pieces from some of my favorite brands in my closet that I’ve never worn for my blog, which sparked this idea. I’m going to wear and style every piece of clothing, every pair of shoes, and each accessory that I own, at least once this year!
Since I stopped focusing on fashion a little more than two years ago, I still receive a few requests each week asking me to show more of what I’m wearing, what I pack on my travels, how to dress in places like Italy, Japan, or Mexico, and more style related requests, so I think this will be a great project to continue sharing my love of fashion & style with you, while sharing what I’ve worn in the past, and what I wear day to day.
In an effort not to spam you with daily outfit posts, I’ll share each of my looks in a weekly or twice weekly “what I wore this week” type roundup post, sharing what I wore, where each piece is from, and why I love it. When I start traveling again, I’ll share what I wore in each place I travel to for work too, which will help answer commonly asked questions about packing, what to wear when traveling, and weather related questions.
You’ll see lots from my favorite brands & shops like Lilly Pulitzer, Reformation, Vineyard Vines, Tuckernuck, Nordstrom, Dooney & Bourke, Ralph Lauren, Everlane, Theory, and Anthropologie, as well as smaller boutiques, up and coming designers, and handmade finds. I think my style has changed a lot since I first started blogging, and while I’d still describe my personal style as pretty “preppy”, I think it’s become a lot more timeless and refined, as I’ve invested in far more “forever pieces” for my wardrobe, rather than leaning on fast fashion or trendy pieces to fill my closet.
I’m excited to start posting my favorites that I’ve had for years, along with things I’ve recently acquired, and I hope you’ll enjoy these looks too! Over the winter they will probably be mostly mirror selfies (which you have said you love in the past!), but once warmer weather hits I’ll be heading out again to share what I wear in some of my favorite places around me.
