I’ve been eating more vegan foods lately. Not just for the health benefits but also as a way to reduce my environmental impact, particularly when traveling. As individuals, there isn’t nearly as much we can do to offset our everyday activities as major corporations can (according to science.org, 90 companies are responsible for nearly two-thirds of greenhouse gas emissions), but even so I like to do my part whenever possible. That’s why whenever there’s a healthy vegan option, I’ll choose that one! Vegan’s Prague, a darling rooftop vegan eatery with a view of Prague Castle, was the perfect lunch spot on our third day in the “City of 100 Spires”.

We made reservations earlier in the day, and requested to dine outside on the rooftop patio. Rooftop dining is very popular and so much fun in Prague, so if you find yourself in this gorgeous city, do yourself a favor a book a rooftop table as often as possible. Garden dining is also popular here, as many courtyards have been converted into beautiful greenspaces. While Vegan’s Prague doesn’t have this option, it’s still something to keep in mind.

I ordered the Gluten-Free Mini Burger, but they made it full sized since I couldn’t eat the other two in the trio. They were extremely accomodating and delightfully creative in their dishes and how they handled allergies. Robin on the otherhand, tried a vegan version of Czech specialty, the cabbage goulash with dumplings. He still talks about how delicious and flavorful that was and said it was one of his favorite meals of the trip.
The warm, breezy rooftop patio where we enjoyed our gorogeous meal was the perfect setting. I really wouldn’t have changed anything about our experience here. It was fantastic from start to finish, and the service here was wonderful too. The view of the castle alone was enough of a reason to eat here, so when we take into consideration how great the food was, adding this restaurant to your Prague visit is a no brainer. Even if you aren’t vegan, you’ll fall in love with the flavors, view, and inclusive menu that make Vegan’s Prague so special.
