The Prettiest Pearl Jewelry from Julie Vos

The first piece of “real” jewelry I ever wore was a pair of natural pearl earrings my parents gave me when I got my ears pierced in elementary school. I still have them and regularly wear them! Ever since, I’ve loved finding beautiful, high-quality jewelry that will last me my entire life. To me, jewelry isn’t just something I wear. It’s representative of my experiences, milestones, travels, and memories. When I look in my jewelry box, I don’t see pieces of metal and precious stones. I see the necklace I wore on our wedding day, the bracelet I wore when we got engaged, the pairs of earrings I wore during our time in Japan, the necklaces I bought while shopping in Paris, and other similar stories. That’s why I see every new piece of jewelry I add to my collection, like the prettiest pearl jewelry from Julie Vos, as future moments of good times!

The Julie Vos brand is an eponymous brand by a Connecticut native. Everything from the brand is handcrafted using 24k gold and pearls, colorful glass, and semi-precious stones, her jewelry is sophisticated and timeless, and it’s all inspired by fine art and travel. She makes six to eight new collections each year, and every single one retains its individuality while working perfectly with one another.

Above, coin earrings and a bracelet, both inspired by travel and museum-quality currency from ancient times, help elevate my casual look at home. I plan to bring these out whenever I need a touch of warmth that only 24k gold can bring out. The mother-of-pearl discs within the bracelet also beautifully reflect light and make my outfit shine. While these two aren’t technically pearl jewelry pieces, they coordinate perfectly and are two of my most worn Julie Vos treasures.

The earrings, necklace, and bracelet are all from the Marbella collection. They are truly some of the prettiest pearl jewelry from Julie Vos, which is saying something because her pearl jewelry is always breathtaking! The trio of stackable rings, the Calypso rings, are so lovely and can be worn together, individually, or as part of a more intricate stack. I particularly love the Marbella collection because of the organic-shaped pearls, the impeccable attention to detail, and the fact that it all looks exactly like something I’d see behind glass at a museum. I feel like I’ve stepped out of a painting of medieval royalty when I put these on, yet they don’t look out of place at the supermarket or when dining al fresco.

I’m a firm believer that pearls are meant to be worn. As I mentioned in my How to Care for Pearls guide, I don’t wear them when exercising, but I do wear them every day, whether I’m running errands, relaxing on a beach, or enjoying a nice dinner out. These Mykonos pearl hoops and this Marbella Station Necklace are perfect examples of how pearls are so versatile, and they can be dressed up or down. Once spring rolls around and I can break out my dresses again, expect to see so much more of these beautiful pieces in a dressier way. While in Paris, I saw so many people who appeared to be going to and from workout classes wearing pearl jewelry that it inspired this relaxed look.  I think clothes and jewelry are meant to be fun, which is why I love unexpected pairings like this 90s-inspired look!
