Today’s post is a bit more random than most, but still something I’ve wanted to write about for a while. Did you know each dressing room at a Lilly Pulitzer store is unique, and each one is handpainted by a brand’s print team member? In fact, the Greenwich, CT Lilly Pulitzer store employees told me that all of their dressing rooms were painted by the same person, across the country. Talk about a dream job! Today, I’m doing to share my favorite Lilly Pulitzer dressing rooms from the stores I’ve visited, in no particular order.
This isn’t a comprehensive list of all of the stores, so if you tell me about your favorite Lilly Pulitzer store’s dressing room, I might add it to the list! Here are some of my favorite dressing rooms from Lilly Pulitzer stores, each with a unique theme and color scheme.
Lilly Pulitzer Watch Hill in Rhode Island

This store had gorgeous sailboat-inspired dressing rooms, as well as a dressing room in the print that was inspired by Watch Hill/Westerly, Rhode Island “Watch Out.” The “Watch Out” print, shown above on the far right, is one of my all-time favorite Lilly Pulitzer prints! I also wore the dress to my first Lilly Pulitzer Charity Event at our former yacht club back in Michigan. Did you notice that their floors looked like a sandy beach?
Disney Springs Store in Orlando, Florida

The Disney Springs Lilly Pulitzer Store had so many beautifully painted dressing rooms. It was fun to try on clothes inside them! I think my favorite was the neon pink octopus room because it was so colorful and reminiscent of summers spent by the water.
Palm Avenue in Charleston, South Carolina

The dressing rooms at Palm Avenue in Charleston had many local and regional flare, like the dressing room with the map of neighboring Florida, where the brand got its start. My favorite dressing room was the one with the beautiful paintings of Rainbow Row, The Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge, sailboats, palmetto trees, and magnolias. I think it’s incredible how the painter captured the essence of Charleston in a gorgeous blue and white mural.
Greenwich Lilly Pulitzer in Greenwich, Connecticut

One of the first things I did after we moved to Connecticut was visiting our local Lilly Pulitzer store! Their dressing rooms are pink and white, one had a map of downtown Greenwich, another had sailboats and nearby buildings, and they even feature the Rolex street clocks that are all over downtown. Once again, the painter didn’t fail to capture the most iconic spots and landmarks around town.
Village Palm in Grosse Pointe, Michigan
This store had a dressing room that matched my You Gotta Regatta skirt, which I feature in my look back at my favorite Lilly Pulitzer looks, and I still think this is one of my favorite Lilly Pulitzer dressing rooms of all time.
Which Lilly Pulitzer store should I visit next? Let me know in the comments of this post, and I’ll go check it out as soon as possible!

Hi!
Thank you for posting about the Lilly fitting rooms. I work for the brand and have been painting them for the last decade. I’ve traveled all over the country to paint murals in all the retail and corporate store fitting rooms. I found this post while I was googling around and actually putting together a painting proposal for another store 🙂 I would recommend visiting all of the latest stores we have opened: Delray Beach FL, Charlottesville and River Road near Richmond VA, and Avalon shops in Alpharetta GA.

Absolutely, I will! Whenever I visit a city with a Lilly Pulitzer, I try to stop in.
