I’ve seen lots of questions about shipping, charges, and when to expect your order from the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale, commonly called the APS, so I’m here with the answer. And yes, it may actually take up to 6 weeks to receive your orders!
Q: Wait, I saw that the Lilly Pulitzer website said it could take up to 4-6 weeks to receive my order, but I thought they were bluffing! Do I really have to wait up to 6 weeks to get my beautiful purchases?!
A: Yes, it really will take up to six weeks to receive your order. I know it’s hard to wait for something when you’re so excited, but it’s worth it, I promise!
Q: Is there any way I can call Lilly’s customer service and pay for expedited shipping? I live in Michigan and want my dresses before it starts to snow in a few weeks!
A: Unfortunately, no. There’s no way you can expedite shipping or pay to have your order overnighted to you.
Q: That’s not fair…other people are getting their orders already, why haven’t I?
A: Items are allegedly fulfilled randomly using a raffle system, so there’s no way of knowing who will receive an order early and who won’t. Some people in Wyoming have already received their orders while people in Pennsylvania near Lilly’s headquarters or in Palm Beach, Florida won’t receive their packages for weeks.
Q: If someone else receives an order containing some of the styles/prints I ordered, but I haven’t received mine, does that mean my order was cancelled?
A: No, orders are fulfilled randomly and shipped from multiple distribution centers, so unless you’ve received a cancellation email, your order has not been cancelled.
Q: Bummer, I understand I guess. What do I do between now and when I receive my order? I’m so excited I can barely contain myself!
A: In the meantime, head to my Lilly Pulitzer Facebook group, and shop the extra items people have left over from the sale that didn’t work or didn’t fit. It’s the pinned post, and everything is organized by size!
Q: How will I know if my order is cancelled?
A: You will receive an email stating your order is cancelled. If you haven’t received that, your order is still pending and will most likely ship. It’s not common for orders to be cancelled in the sale.
Q: When will I know if my order is cancelled?
A: Since orders are fulfilled randomly, there’s no way of knowing if your order has been cancelled until you receive an email. If you haven’t received an email cancellation notice, your order has NOT been cancelled.
Q: Someone posted that their order containing the same item I ordered was actually cancelled. Does this mean my order will be cancelled too?
A: Unless you receive a cancellation email, your order has not been cancelled.
Q: The charge(s) from my APS purchases have disappeared from my credit card or PayPal, does this mean my order has been cancelled?
A: Lilly (and other retailers) can only place a hold on your funds for a few days, then it will drop off. When your item is ready to ship or has been shipped, the chargers will reappear. It may even take a few days after your order ships for the charges to reappear. No need to worry!
Q: My order is stuck showing as “label created” for days, does this mean my order is cancelled?
A: This just means your order is still pending. No need to panic!
Q: My order has been stuck in one town for days, does that mean my package is lost?
A: For whatever reason, this is a very common occurrence during
Q: Why has only part of my order shipped? Does that mean the rest is cancelled?
A: This is very common. Orders are fulfilled randomly and shipped from multiple distribution centers, so there’s no need to worry if your orders are split, it just means that they’re coming from different places.
Q: What if I received my order early, but it contains the wrong items?
A: Call Lilly Pulitzer customer service, but don’t be surprised if the correct item is sold out. They will issue a refund for incorrect items, but unfortunately may not be able to replace incorrect items. This is very uncommon, but has happened in the past.
Q: Anything else I should know?
A: Sometimes you will never receive a shipping notification! I’ve received packages in the past without receiving a shipping notification. It’s a bit frustrating to be left in the dark, but just be patient and they’ll be here before you know it!
