Visiting The Detroit Zoo
The Detroit Zoo is a place where injured or abandoned animals can live out their days in safety, and where animals that can one day go back to living in the wild can receive the help and loving care they need to be rehabilitated. All of the animals living at the zoo were either rescued from captivity and abuse, were injured and can no longer live with their kind in the wild, or will one day be released back into the wild to help bolster threatened and endangered animal populations. Read on to learn all about the incredible work the Detroit Zoo does, from helping to rescue and rehabilitate animals impacted by the Deep Water Horizon Spill and helping to reintroduce wolves to Isle Royale National Park to rescuing and keeping safe former circus animals or helping to protect endangered animals all over the world, there is no better animal education, rehabilitation center, and zoo in North America.
