The more Yumi Kim dresses I own, the more I find myself wearing floral prints. Don’t get me wrong – I’ve always loved florals! But there’s something about the breeziness and lightweight texture of these dresses that feels so effortless and comfortable. You know that feeling of putting on loungewear after being out at work all day? Slipping into one of these is a lot like that. This Yumi Kim Libby Dress in Black is so charming, fun to wear, and easy to style that I know it will be something I wear for years to come.
The Prettiest Pearl Jewelry from Julie Vos
To me, jewelry isn’t just something I wear. It’s representative of my experiences, milestones, and landmarks. When I look in my jewelry box, I don’t see pieces of metal and precious stones. I see the necklace I wore on our wedding day, the bracelet I wore when we got engaged, the pairs of earrings I wore during our time in Japan, and the necklace I bought while shopping in Paris. That’s why I see every new piece of jewelry I add to my collection, like the prettiest pearl jewelry from Julie Vos, as future moments of good times!
Cozy & Sophisticated Cotton Silk From Lunya
Whether I’m traveling or relaxing at home, I love to be comfortable. It’s important to me that what I wear feels good against my skin too. I used to endure itchy wool sweaters and scratchy, unlined brocade fabrics because they looked good, but a few years ago, I vowed to myself to never to wear anything uncomfortable again. That’s why when I spotted this gorgeous, cozy cotton silk pocket henley and cotton silk ribbed leggings from Lunya, one of my favorite loungewear brands, I immediately fell in love with it. It is unbelievably soft and silky. Made of organic cotton and sustainably sourced silk, so I know the fabric is good for my skin, my body, and my peace of mind.
The Art Institute of Chicago Visitor’s Guide
The Art Institute of Chicago has some of the most famous works of art in the world, like American Gothic, one of Vincent van Gogh’s earliest self-portraits, A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte, Nighthawks, The Old Guitarist, Waterlillies by my very favorite artist Claude Monet, and so many others. Along with ancient coins, marble statues from Ancient Greece, and thousands of other incredible works of art, the Art Institute of Chicago is one of the world’s best art museums, and something that can’t be missed on a visit to Chicago.
The Prettiest Apple Watch Bands
These gorgeous Apple Watch bands make the perfect gift for Valentine’s Day (or any day!) and go with absolutely anything. Handmade from upcycled silver, they’re not only eco-friendly, they’re also the most complimented accessory I’ve worn in the past 6 months. If you’re like me and looking for a more elegant Apple Watch band to wear when you aren’t working out (although you can workout in them!), these may be exactly what you’ve been looking for. Plus, find out where I buy $5 silicone Apple Watch Bands from, in dozens of colors!
Picking Sunflowers in the Sunshine
Summer is drawing to a close, and fall is nearly here. To make the most of this transitional period, before it becomes too cold, we’ve been trying to spend as much time as possible outside, enjoying the last few warm days here in Michigan. The leaves are already beginning to change colors, and the sun is setting sooner, so I wanted to squeeze in one last visit to a flower field before the end of the season and spend a day picking sunflowers. We took a trip to DeBucks Flower Farm, where they also have a corn maze, hay rides, and other fall themed activities, to pick some gorgeous Sunflowers, cosmos, zinnias, lavender, and other fall flowers.
What My Pandora Bracelet Means to Me
I have worn a Pandora bracelet since my early high school days, and I’ve recently filled my second Pandora bracelet with charms that commemorate special occasions, events and milestones, and achievements in my life, along with a few charms that are just for fun. It feels like the end of an era almost, so I wanted to share what I’ve added to this bracelet, and why each charm is special to me.
Blue Topaz & Blue Striped Shirt Dress
I love a good shirtdress (this one with a giant bow is only $21) almost as I love meaningful gifts and new jewelry!
