Swimming is one of my favorite things to do in the summertime. As soon as it’s warm enough to hit the pool or beach, I’m there, making the most of the warm weather. Being from the north, the swimming season is generally rather short, but that’s part of what makes it so precious. I like to make the most out of my time in the water, or relaxing near the water, looking and feeling my best. That’s why I’ve partnered with MERSEA, a gorgeous woman-owned travel wear brand dedicated to sustainability and artistry, to share my pool day essentials!
Tuckernuck Royal Shirt Dress
The Tuckernuck Royal Shirt Dress has been a staple piece in my wardrobe for years. The style is made into numerous new prints each season, which means the one I’m wearing here is just one of many! I have this same dress in blue and white stripe, antelope print, tartan, and several solid neutrals. There’s…
Lilly Pulitzer Moriah Off-the Shoulder Dress
One of my favorite dresses from the Lilly Pulitzer Sunshine Sale has been this gorgeous Moriah off-the-shoulder dress, which features elastic shoulders for a won’t-slip-out-of-place off-the-shoulder look, a tie-waist, and a midi or maxi length, depending upon how you wear it and how tall you are. This dress is so easy to throw on and…
Peachy Pink Summer Dress
Today’s post is just a quick little outfit of the day post, featuring this lovely Juliet Dunn dress that I’ve worn several times this summer already. The silhouette of this peachy pink summer dress (also available in white and lemon yellow) is just so feminine and timeless; I’m sure I’ll love this dress for years to…
PinkBlush Red Ruffle Sleeve Maxi Dress
This red maxi dress with ruffle sleeve details and smocking at the waist is not only colorful, but it’s perfect for special occasions, holiday celebrations or get-togethers with loved ones. Not only is this dress so pretty, easy to wear, and flattering, it’s also a way to look effortlessly sophisticated while staying cool in the heat.
Golden Greek Goddess-Inspired Look
I have always loved Greek mythology & stories. I used to stay up late at night as a child reading about Athena and her infinite wisdom, Aphrodite’s ability to inspire love wherever she went, and Artemis’s love for nature and all things innocent. One thing that has always stuck out to me is how timeless the outfits of Greek Goddesses are. Their flowing dresses, wild curls adorned with a glittering headpiece, helmet, or hairclip, and simple footwear are still just as beautiful today as they were when they were painted or carved into marble thousands of years ago. That’s why, when I found myself in need of inspiration for a look for our dinner at Zero George Restaurant + Bar in Charleston, South Carolina, recently, I turned to history to create this golden Greek Goddess-inspired look.
A Floral Tie Shoulder Top
This floral tie shoudler top is so sweet and feminine for hotter weather. I love the swish of the bows against my arms as I walk, and that I can make sure my top’s straps are always the perfect height for me.
Denim, Eyelet, and Seagrass for Summertime
We recently went to our local farmer’s market, and I threw together a feminine outfit that would protect me from the hot sun and high temperatures in just a few moments. If I can throw on an eyelet shift dress, denim jacket, white sandals, and woven accessories that quickly, so can you! It’s the easiest way to look chic and feminine without having to give it much thought, and it’s the perfect look if you’re running short on time when getting ready.
What to Wear for Date Night
Whether you’re married, engaged, or spending time with a new flame; spending quality time together is one of the most important parts in any relationship! While Robin and I don’t have a dedicated day of the week we go out (because we usually do several things each week), I always love the adventures we share!…
