I’ve always loved blazers and skirts for fall, so this collegiate striped blazer outfit was not only comfortable but also a sign of the changing seasons as the days become shorter, the weather becomes cooler, and I begin reaching for more layering pieces.
Summer Essentials Volume 5
High summer generally means I wear a lot of white pieces, and lots of breezy, gauzy linen pieces to beat the heat. It’s generally warmer here in Connecticut than it would be if we still lived in Michigan, so being cool and staying safe in the sun is more important to me than ever before. I hope Summer Essentials Volume 5 inspires you to pick out some new favorite pieces for warm weather, or to revisit some of your wardrobe favorites, and get out to enjoy the sunshine!
What I Bought in the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale
Here’s my Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale Haul! I found some super bright and fun pieces in the most recent sale, and I wanted to share what I purchased in the sale, how much it cost, and how each piece fits, along with what I plan to wear with each item.
My Thoughts on the Alexis Ren 30 Day Workout Challenge
The Alexis Ren 30 Day Workout Challenge has helped me to become stronger, more flexible, to have more endurance, and so much more which is why I’m going to share with you why I loved it so much, and why I plan to keep using the model’s fantastic program, which includes access to a nutritionist, eating disorder councilor, weekly Zoom calls with Alexis Ren, and so many other wonderful things have helped build a community during a time when we are forced to be apart from one another.
My Autumn Travel Essentials
I love to pack versatile, easy to wear pieces so I can transition from situation to situation easily, whether I’m popping into a café after site seeing, walking through gardens in the rain, or walking all day while exploring somewhere new, I like to pack with a certain color palette depending upon my destination or the season, or both, so that I can easily mix and match pieces with little effort. My Autumn Travel Essentials reflect this, and I generally wear browns, caramel colors, tobacco leather, and creams, because these pieces can all be easily rearranged to make numerous different outfits, which means I can pack less and get more out of my capsule wardrobe.
Spring Essentials Vol. 5
Green has always been my favorite color. The color of new leaves on the trees, the color of my eyes, and the color of moss and grass after a rain shower, there’s just something so energizing and invigorating about the color green, particularly when paired with earthy brown tones and cool, crisp white pieces. In this week’s installment of Spring Essentials, I’ve paired natural wooden and woven pieces, with light airy white clothing and pops of green accessories that not only will hold up season after season, they will never go out style, so you can bring your wardrobe out of hibernation and wake it up with this playful color palette.
Spring Essentials Vol. 4
My blog started because of my love obsession with the Lilly Pulitzer brand. I run a Facebook group dedicated to styling the brand with nearly 40,000 members in it, and I went from 0-40k followers on IG because of a few viral flatlay and closet pictures that garnered hundreds of thousands of shares on Tumblr, Twitter, and Pinterest, so it’s easy to see why the pink and green brand will always have a special place in my heart. It’s because of this fondness for the color of pink sakura trees, blushing cheeks, and bright summer colors that I created this week’s Spring Essentials post. I hope you enjoy it! Ps. stay tuned for a few Lilly Pulitzer themed essentials coming up!
Spring Essentials Volume 3
Spring is on its way in, and I couldn’t be happier about it. With spring weather, at least here in Michigan, comes blue skies, sudden rain showers, and beautiful balmy nights. So, in this week’s Spring Essentials, I’ve centered everything around this gorgeous navy color, to play into the blue skies we are finally seeing. Navy is such a versatile shade, and it’s so classic, which means you can easily integrate each and every one of these pieces into your existing wardrobe, without missing a beat.
