Summertime is such a wonderful time of year. I’m definitely enjoying it more now that this horrible heat wave is finally giving us a break and easing up on the triple-digit temperatures. Juliet Dunn Block Print Blouson Dress
When I think of fun, colorful, easy-to-wear resortwear, I think of two brands: Lilly Pulitzer & Juliet Dunn. If you’re unfamiliar, Juliet Dunn (which I’ve worn here, here and here) is entirely handmade using ethical and traditional block print techniques in India. The eponymous, woman-owned brand is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to shop, because their styles are so timeless, relaxed, comfortable, and unique. Tuckernuck Beachy Striped Maxi Dress
On our recent visit to Watch Hill, Rhode Island, I pulled out this gorgeous, perfect-for-summer blue and white striped dress with scallop trimmed a hem and pockets from Tuckernuck. Not only was it comfortable and easy to wear, I felt right at home on the windswept beach and near the sand dunes. There’s something about blue and white as a color combination that just fits in so well at the beach, wouldn’t you agree?

Chuc’s Café | South Kensington
Inspired by world famous photographer Slim Aaron, and summers aboard a yacht in the Mediterranean, Chuc’s Café in Kensington is a gorgeous vignette of summer memories, adventure, and bold colors. This gorgeous café was a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of London’s South Kensington District, where we stayed at the Kensington Hotel, and took us right back to our adventures in Italy, not so long ago. The blue and white color scheme, the beautiful miniature orange trees, and the freshly imported Italian ingredients were a delight we won’t soon forget.
