This outfit truly felt like summer. Bold colors, pretty gold jewelry with pearl and embellished accents, a basket bag, and sandals. It all felt so warm and cheerful, which is what I love wearing in warm weather – clothes that make me happy. I’m especially fond of tie-shoulder dresses because not only do I really like bows, I like how easy to wear and unique they are. Tofe’s a limited time oof year when it’s warm enough to wear them, and it’s always something I eagerly anticipate. Now that summer is here, I’m not putting away my colorful, bold clothing anytime soon!
The Matilda R. Wilson Aviary – Detroit Zoo: Vol II
The Matilda R. Wilson Aviary inside the Detroit Zoo is a beautiful oasis filled with tropical birds that are free to fly wherever they’d like inside the aviary and tropical garden. This is one of my favorite places in Michigan to visit, in addition to Frederik Meijer Gardens, when I need a break from the cold, dreary winters that seem to stretch on endlessly. There’s something so refreshing, enchanting, and soul soothing about stepping into the tropical climate, being surrounded by the sweetest bird songs, and lush, blooming flowers like red or yellow hibiscus and bright pink bougainvillea.
