Gaijin Japanese Restaurant in Traverse City is one of the best Asian inspired restaurants in Northern Michigan. This ramen shop has everything from bao buns and yakiniku skewers to tempura, and of course has dozens and dozens of ways to customize ramen from making it totally vegan to packed full of eggs and meat with extra noodles.

Thai Orchid Petoskey is by far my favorite Thai Restaurant in Michigan. This family owned gem serves up locally sourced, fresh as can be, made-from-scratch Thai recipes that have been in their family for generations. I’ve eaten a lot of Thai food around the state, but this is certainly my favorite. Grab it to-go and head a few blocks down to the marina to enjoy delicious, hot Thai food with a gorgeous view!
