These turquoise pieces are really special to me because I have family in both Arizona and New Mexico. Of course, turquoise is an iconic stone from the American Southwest, and so whenever I wear these pieces I think of them. There’s something about jewelry that makes it so sentimental. Perhaps it’s because we often associate giving jewelry with big occasions and celebrations like weddings and engagements, graduation, and birthdays. Perhaps it’s because such stunning pieces are miniature works of art, and I feel privileged to wear them.
Whatever the reason, I’ve always had an emotional investment in the jewelry I adorn myself with, which is why I love building my collection of Julie Vos pieces. No matter the season, occasion, or how old I am, each piece tells a story, and wearing them throughout my life reminds me of where I’ve been and inspires my journey along the way.
