We returned to Wildflower Farms for another gorgeous stay, this time in the heart of summer, and we had a splendid time. While there, we enjoyed a farm-to-table Sunday Brunch at Clay, which I’ve written about for brunch and a sunset dinner previously. Just as spectacular as before, our meals here were nothing short of perfection. The service, atmosphere, food, and flavors were all exquisite, and it’s one of many reasons we and so many others keep coming back for more.

The Ambience
Contemporary yet outdoorsy, elegant and refined yet welcoming, Clay is an amalgam of paradoxes that harmonize to create a splendid dining experience. Live plants, tall windows, warm hues, and an assortment of organic textures tie the restaurant together to create something that’s at once sophisticated and relaxed. Whether wearing athleisurewear from a wellness class at Wildflower Farms or dressed up for the thrill of it, you’ll feel perfectly at ease at Clay.
Clay Menu & Our Meals
They have a few special dishes only available on Sundays, and we took full advantage of that. They have numerous wellness fixes like kombucha, freshly pressed green juice, and dishes to complement practically any dietary need.
Robin ordered the cinnamon roll again, which he said was just as tasty as his last one. When they saw that he’d ordered an appetizer I couldn’t eat, they gave me a sweet bowl of fresh, seasonal fruit. I told you the service here was excellent!

I ordered the Shakshuka, made gluten-free, and it was tremendously delicious. This North African dish is difficult to find and made well with plenty of fresh herbs, spices, and complex flavors, but Clay managed to pull it off perfectly. The gluten-free toast was thick, robust, and not the slightest bit dry, which, if you’ve ever had the misfortune of eating poorly made gluten-free baked goods, you’ll know what I’m always worried about. This toast was nothing like that, which is another reason I love eating here. They take allergies seriously.
Robin had their salmon egg benedict, which he said was delicious too!
Final Thoughts
Everything at Clay has been excellent each time we’ve visited. We’ve never once had a complaint, and though this is our seventh or eighth meal here, we’re just as pleased as our first. If you find yourself at Wildflower Farms, an Auberge Resort, or Hudson Valley, NY, head to Clay for an unforgettable meal!
