Did you know each room at Grand Hotel is completely unique? Each room was meticulously designed by master interior designer Carleton Varney of Dorothy Draper & Co. Below are some of my favorite rooms and suites we’ve had the pleasure of staying in during our many trips to Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, in Michigan! The Jackie Kennedy Suite
As elegant as the former first lady herself, this incredible room offers an unparalleled view of the lake, as well as the Mackinac Bridge, the Esther Williams Swimming Pool, the gardens, as well as much of Mackinac Island.
The Wicker Suite
A stunning amalgam of shades of blue, beach vibes, and wicker details, the Wicker Suite is one of my favorite rooms at Grand Hotel!
The Cupola Suite
This suite is absolutely incredible. The view from the room is stunning, the decor is so bright and cheery, and the eclectic yet coordinated style of the room makes this suite truly one of a kind. These suites were revitalized and expanded in 2019, so be sure to check them out on your next visit to Grand Hotel!
The Musser Suite
Named for the family who owns Grand Hotel, this suite is as regal as it is charming. One of my favorite features is the purple wallpaper!
The Grand Suite
Truly a decorative masterpiece, the multi-room Grand Suite will take your breath away! We stayed here with a group of family, and it was perfect for the 6 of us!
The Huron Suite
Named for the lake the island (and Grand Hotel) sits upon, this suite is breathtaking!
The Versailles Suite
Opulent golds and pinks create a stunning palette for this French style suite.
Lilac Suite
Recently renovated and beautifully outfitted in a French lilac theme, this room is any flower lover’s dream. Explore the full post about this suite here.
Other Rooms
Each and every room at the Grand Hotel is not only uniquely appointed, but each is very lovely in its own way. No matter which room we’ve stayed in, we’ve had an incredible, relaxing and enjoyable time at the Grand!
