Spring is finally here in Michigan, and I couldn’t be happier! It’s been so much fun to break out unique pieces I’ve been saving for spring, like these feather shoes and this pearl pin. It has been a very long and cold winter, and I’m so ready for some sunshine. I recently discovered I have a gluten allergy, which explains many of the health issues I’ve been having. I’ve been spending the last few weeks figuring out how to make the necessary changes to my diet to be healthier and eat without pain. I’ve spent the past few weeks talking with nutritionists and my doctor to get a plan together to help stop my stomach and digestive issues, and I’m already feeling much better. I apologize for not posting more regularly during the past 2 weeks. My health comes first, and now that I have an answer to what’s been making me sick, hopefully, I can get back to posting regularly!
I have so many fun things planned for the coming months, and I can’t wait to share them with you all! This weekend I’ll be heading to Tulip Time in Holland (you can check out last year’s post here) and running my first 5k! I’ll be heading up north to Mackinac Island for our first stay at the Grand Hotel for the summer, and I’ll be visiting several other towns around the state this summer to share with you all of the wonderful reasons you should come to visit my home state!
I’ll be getting my drone license in the next few weeks so I can start sharing awesome drone footage and photography with you, and I’m heading to a really awesome music festival with some friends next month, so keep an eye out for some really great backstage posts on some of my favorite EDM DJs too. I’ll also be discussing more my dietary changes, not because I think you really care whether or not I can eat bread and pasta, but because the symptoms I’ve been having have been so unusual. Gluten allergies are, evidently, becoming much more common that some of you may also have the same issues that I do, and I want you to know that you can feel better too.

This outfit makes me so happy. I look like a cross between a farmer’s daughter or a milkmaid and Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, and I can’t get enough of this look! I absolutely adore these feather shoes, which come in a few different colors and styles. I never thought I’d be so excited about a pair of shoes with feathers, and yet here I am, geeking out, haha.
You can shop this fun spring outfit below, and if you purchase through my links, I’ll get a small commission that helps me maintain my blog and continue to bring you fun and exciting content about fashion and travel.
