Blue and white just might be the most classic and timeless color combination of all, and this pastel palette is the perfect way to transition from darker winter colors into spring brights once more. In the spring time, I’m always concerned with taking great care of and protecting my skin as I begin spending more time outside in the sun, so I choose high quality skincare products, comfortable, sun protective clothing, and comfortable walking shoes, along with bags that help me carry everything I need effortlessly. Here are my spring style essentials, volume 7.

Ps. Does many people still know how to read Roman numerals? I was using those in my titles originally, but people messaged me asking why I had long strings of “Ls” together, haha. I don’t see them often and certainly don’t want to confuse anyone, but I think they look so much cooler than Arabic numerals we typically use!
My spring style always gravitates towards crisp, fresh whites like this Juliet Dunn tie shoulder dress, Agua by Agua Bendita blouse, swimsuit & pareo with beautiful handmade, hand embroidered details. Soft blue hues like this breezy, oversized linen blouse and this Rag and Bone denim skirt are things I reach for over and over again as the weather warms up.
With the ever-looming threat of rain showers int he springtime, I never leave the house without one of my waterproof, waxed Barbour jackets to stay warm and dry. Their styles haven’t changed much over the many decades they’ve been around, so this is an investment piece that can be worn for years and years with proper care.
This textured hair bow and ruffled scrunchie in a crisp white are great companions to a blue and white outfit. I have been adding straw hats for years now, and this hat from Lack of Color is my most recent addition. The texture on it is just beautiful. These tortoise Ray Bans are so cute for spring too. I’ve had my eye on these Julie Vos earrings for years, and I think I’m going to have to pick them up soon.
I love this convertible crossbody bag by Senreve and this convertible white leather backpack fits a laptop, camera, travel documents, and more while looking polished. This nylon bum bag from Anthropologie is a cute companion when hanging out with friends, exploring a new city, or hiking. One of my favorite things I’ve purchased recently was this handmade ark basket bag from the Ukraine. It took about a month to arrive because they are made on demand and shipped sustainably, but it was absolutely worth the wait!
Kjaer Weis eyeliner, lip liner, dark circle under eye moisturizer and mascara are still four of my favorite clean beauty finds, as they have been for years. This wooden detangling comb is also something I’ve had for a few years and still love using. I find it’s particularly important to ensure I don’t damage my hair when brushing in the spring, so that my hair stays sleek and shiny while I get back into swimming and spending more time out in the sunshine. This scalp massager is another tool that can be used to strengthen hair and maintain a healthy scalp, since we aren’t covering up our hair with thick knit hats anymore.
Speaking of clean beauty, I’ve transitioned all of my most commonly used nail polish colors, particularly white and light pink, as well as the top coat and base coat I use, along with my nail polish remover, to a gentle, toxin-free, version from Sundays last year, and I haven’t looked back. These colors last for up to a week, and my nails never look or feel damaged after I remove the colors as they sometimes do with other brands.
This Tocca fragrance is such a fresh, light scent, perfect for spring. Speaking of fragrances, my favorite AmorePacific plumping cream & mask are something I use more often in the spring, to get a fresh, bright complexion.
One of my favorite things about spring, other than being able to wear skirts and dresses again, is putting away my winter boots and bringing out my sandals and white sneakers. These white leather sneakers by M. Gemi are something I was recently picked up, and they are not only super high quality, but also handmade in Italy and so completely comfortable with no break-in time. Use code “ANNIEF60” for $60 off any purchase at M.Gemi.
I absolutely adore Carrie Forbes sandals, and these handmade woven sandals are at the top of my spring style wishlist. Hopefully I’ll add them to my Carrie Forbes collection soon, along with these Carrie Forbes woven loafers. These look so cute with a white dress or a denim skirt and white blouse, especially when paired with a basket bag like the one I mentioned above.
We are redecorating our home for spring, and I love the look of these wax vases, available in two sizes, from Diptyque. I have more than a dozen Diptyque candles scattered around our place, like this Iris fragrance, this oversized “34” candle, and John Galliano candle, so these would compliment them perfectly and look amazing with freshly picked, seasonal flowers. Fragrance is an essential part of spring style, in our home at least.
I’ve been working on my flexibility and endurance lately in my workouts, and these cork massage rolling balls are perfect for working out knots in my muscles in our home gym. Have you ever used something like these before?
