Spring is on its way in, and I couldn’t be happier about it. With spring weather, at least here in Michigan, comes blue skies, sudden rain showers, and beautiful balmy nights. So, in this week’s Spring Essentials (see Volumes 1 and Volume 2 here), I’ve centered everything around this gorgeous navy color, to play into the blue skies we are finally seeing. Navy is such a versatile shade, and it’s so classic, which means you can easily integrate each and every one of these pieces into your existing wardrobe, without missing a beat.
Style
I’ve been eyeing this new waterproof waxed jacket for awhile now, and I hope to finally order one for spring, because it will go perfectly with my navy rain boots and my travel luggage set (see the other color of this luggage I own, here). I plan to pair my favorite jeans with this custom monogrammed sweater that’s a throwback to my days playing tennis, with this navy leather belt, and layer them under my raincoat, with these crisp white tennis shoes if it isn’t too wet and dreary out, as well as this stunning leather handbag or this top handle bag (which can be monogrammed and also comes in neon pink!), this bangle, this padded headband, and a piece from my favorite hair clip brand.
I also love this hat, see it included here in my 600 Straw Sun Hats Under $50 post, and the navy and white stripe ribbon is so fresh and fun for spring and summer. These tights help me transition from winter to spring effortlessly, and this sarong is coming with me on my upcoming trip to Charleston, along with this baseball cap, and this striped headband. This gingham shirt (which can be monogrammed too!), this floral mermaid motif silk scarf, and these gold hoop earrings are also some of my current favorite pieces. I love these watery stone studs, as well as these nautical inspired earrings for spring as well.
Clean Beauty
Once again, I can’t go without singing the praises of Kjaer Weis eye pencils, as these have been my go-to for more than a year. I also am such a huge fan of this candle and this one for spring, that Diptyque sent me earlier in the season. This straightener (which is currently $60 off) has been my favorite for years, and straightens my unruly hair in one pass, making getting ready an absolute breeze. Elate Cosmetics is my favorite brand for clean beauty products, like this concealer that comes in a compostable bamboo container. They even sell refills of their makeup that’s shipped in seed paper, so once you unwrap your new cosmetics, you can plant the paper they were shipped in to grow native wildflowers! How cool is that?
