Bright colors are a must when summer rolls around, so I wore this gorgeous red linen embroidered maxi dress for a festive touch of red on the first day the temperatures hit 90 here on the East Coast. This dress from MERSEA is a beautiful blood orange red, inspired by travels to Italy and the Mediterranean Coast. It’s so comfortable, soft, easy to wear, and laid back that it just begs to be worn on a hot day poolside, while exploring a new city, or when visiting the beach of a farmer’s market.

MERSEA Embroidered Dress (c/o), MERSEA Straw Hat, Castañer Espadrilles, MERSEA Jute Bag (I also love this one), Julie Vos Bracelets 1, 2, 3, 4, & 5, T3 Curling Iron
This red linen embroidered maxi dress is a loser fit. I’m usually a 2/4/S depending upon the brand, but I’m wearing the XS here, and it fits perfectly for a caftan style maxi dress. The embroidery is lovely and intricate, and the bird motif is beautiful too. I’ve worn and washed this a few times, and the colors haven’t transferred or faded when washed on cold and laid flat to dry, so it’s held up well. The tassels, tiered sleeves, and flattering cut ensure it’s something I’ll often wear this summer!
As a self-proclaimed straw hat fiend, I’m obsessed with this woven hat, handmade in Morocco. It’s so lightweight, perfectly woven to keep the sun off my sensitive skin, and versatile that it can be worn with practically anything. It’s held its shape very well despite being packed on several trips already, and it’s protected me from harmful UV radiation that could damage my skin. It’s straw, not plastic like some summer hats, so it’s breathable and comfortable even in the heat.
My jute bag is another excellent find from MERSEA. Handmade and paired with a pretty red twilly scarf, it’s a unique cross-body style messenger bag with an organic twist. It’s lightweight, easy to carry, and super spacious. Did I mention it’s only $88? For a bag like this, unique, versatile, and very high-quality, that’s a steal! I carried this with my coordinating Senreve card wallet, available in many beautiful colors and made in Europe.

Castañer has been my go-to for espadrilles for a few years now. Their shoes are well-made, comfortable, easy to walk in, and available in many fun colors. This pair is sold-out from a few years ago, but they always offer new and fresh hues. I wear my normal size in these and find they’re so much more comfortable than most other espadrilles.
I’ve been growing my Julie Vos jewelry collection over the last few years. Another woman-owned company, like MERSEA, this brand designs and makes all of their beautiful 24k gold jewelry in New York. Each piece is great on its own or stacked, as I have them here. They’re so fun to play around with, adding dimension, color, and glimmer to whatever I wear. I’ve been delighted with the quality and versatility of these pieces.
