I think tie-shoulder dresses are my favorite style of dresses because they are so comfortable, easy to throw on, and they look amazing on anyone! This beautiful tie-shoulder dress from Juliet Dunn is a block print cotton-voile dream in bright pink and green florals against a crisp, cool white which makes it easy to throw on for warmer weather. I wore this in Charleston to lunch and shopping at the Charleston Place shops on our second day, and I was smitten with how much fun this dress was to wear.
With nacre buttons and generous pockets, this dress was everything I needed to stay cool and comfortable as the temperatures broke into the 90s. The block print details against a refreshing white cotton background signals that this dress was handmade by skilled artisans in India, somewhere I hope to one day visit once travel opens up again. Some of the most beautiful things in the world, from block print textiles and Bollywood love stories to delightful foods and even yoga, came from India, so it’s easy to see how this country could top my list of places I’d like to see one day.
This was my third Juliet Dunn dress, and I am just absolutely in love with the quality, the comfort, and how well made they are. I received so many compliments on this dress that I wish I would have printed out business cards from Juliet Dunn to have handed them to everyone, asking where it was from, haha.
I wore my normal size in this dress according to their size chart, but if you have a larger bust or find that things are often tight in the chest, I recommend sizing up a size or even two because there is absolutely no stretch to these dresses, and the busts run a bit small.
