We had so much fun visiting Kent, Connecticut, for the first time. Everyone in town was so friendly and eager to speak with us. The food was great, our lodgings were exquisitely comfortable, and I would’ve traveled much farther to see the area’s natural beauty. I’ve not seen much written about Kent. Still, it was a wonderful weekend getaway, and I think it would be the perfect destination for bachelor or bachelorette parties, family vacations, romantic getaways, and everything in between. Though it’s a small town, it’s packed with many great things to eat, see, and do, and I hope this Kent, Connecticut, Luxury Travel Guide inspires you to visit!
Wearing white in the summertime is such a crisp, clean look. I particularly love dresses with many white eyelet layers because they add elegance and timelessness to any silhouette. This fun mini dress combines several of my favorite aspects of a good dress, like eyelets, ruffles, layers, and scallop details. Since it’s all the same color, it’s simpler and more understated, which makes it feel sophisticated yet easy to throw on and go.
While in Kent, CT, we explored the charming town and were repeatedly encouraged to try Kinglsey Tavern. I’m so glad we did! Everything was tasty and fresh, and the service was excellent. We dined outside, and though it was humid, it gave us a lovely view of the sunset. This restaurant was like the rest of Kent, such a pleasant surprise. It’s not often we find such spectacular food in small towns, but this restaurant wouldn’t be out of place in and any sprawling metropolis was a perfect way to end our first night in beautiful Kent.
During our time in beautiful Kent, Connecticut, we visited nearby Kent Falls State Park to hike, see the waterfalls engorged by recent heavy rains, and enjoy the cooler weather. The hike was simple and only took about 40 minutes round trip, which may have been elongated since I stopped to take photos. Overall, this was my favorite state park we’ve visited in Connecticut, and I think you’ll agree that it’s truly splendid!
The Victorian, part of The Kent Collection, a set of five distinct rental properties in Kent, CT, was our home away from home for a weekend, and we had a lovely stay in their Wedding Suite. We’d never been to Kent, Connecticut, before, and this turned out to be the best possible place we could’ve stayed in the area. We were within walking distance of local shops, restaurants, and parks, and not far from Kent Falls State Park. Read on to learn more about our stay!
I’ve shared a few of my favorites, from Clara the Label, the sustainable, woman-owned sister brand to Victoria Dunn. Now, I want to compare the Clover Mini and the Clover Maxi styles to give you an idea of the length. For reference, I’m 5’7″ and wearing a small. I definitely could’ve sized down to an XS, but I wanted them to be looser for summertime. Don’t forget! You can use code WELCOME25 for 25% off your entire order!
Summertime is such a wonderful time of year. I’m definitely enjoying it more now that this horrible heat wave is finally giving us a break and easing up on the triple-digit temperatures. I’ve been wearing my Clara the Label dresses on repeat (use code WELCOME25 for 25% off!), and they’re exceptionally comfortable, whether it’s 100 or 70. Did I mention they’re Victoria Dunn’s sister label? This blue and white floral print mini dress has been one of my favorites, and one I’ve worn a few times since getting it a couple of weeks ago.
After seeing photos of Morning Glory online, I decided to visit during our time here in San Diego, CA. I didn’t do much digging other than, “Wow, the reviews are excellent, and it’s so pretty! Plus, it’s included in the Michelin Guide!” I’m easy to please. Despite us arriving right when they opened, I expected a shorter line. I anticipated photographing the space before the crowds converged, but I couldn’t have been more wrong! Still, we were lucky, got the last available seats at Morning Glory, and had an epic breakfast. Let’s dig in!
I can hear that Aqua song playing, can’t you? Growing up, I loved playing with Barbie dolls between reading, painting, catching bugs, and taking photos with my first camera, which just so happened to be a Barbie film camera! I’ve always considered myself a Barbie girl, so seeing the resurgence of Barbie’s popularity due to the upcoming movie has been so nostalgic and excited me to pull out all my favorite pink styles. Shop Premium Outlets asked me to help them promote their gorgeous pink collection, so I’ve pulled a few of my favorites, and I’ll share them with you and show you how I style them! This pink Barbiecore outfit was the perfect dress to wear around San Diego as we ventured around the new (to us) city!
Japanese food has long been my very favorite type of cuisine. I love that it can range from strictly traditional to inventive fusion and everything in between. Plus, since I do not eat meat and cannot eat gluten, the fish and vegetable-heavy cuisine is a fantastic way to ensure I can eat more than most restaurants. Cloak & Petal, a restaurant in the Michelin Guide for San Diego, perfectly fits my criteria and exceeded my expectations.
Everything we ate at Mohonk Mountain House was outstanding. I didn’t have a single bite I didn’t like, and everything was almost too pretty to eat. So, to inspire your sojourn to this neck of breathtaking Hudson Valley, here’s a little food diary! You loved the first one of these I made about Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, MI, so hopefully, you’ll enjoy this one just as much. I know I did! Did I mention the food is included in your stay? That’s right, this didn’t cost us an extra cent!
