I’ve been working from home for a few years now as a luxury travel writer and photographer, and one of the biggest things that help me stay productive and keeps me crossing things off my very long to-do list each day, is having an organized office space. My home office tour is one of my most requested blog posts, so I’m hoping that my office/closet area inspires you to carve a little corner, desk, or room for yourself at home to make a space that’s all your own, so that you can work from home, focus on schoolwork, or pursue your passion in a place that’s entirely your own.

Autumn is such a magical time of year, as well as my personal favorite season. The leaves change colors, trees look alight with the fires of autumn, and the days become a little darker, and a little colder, hinting at the hibernation to come. Each autumn, my husband and I have an unofficial list of things we like to do before the season ends, and I wanted to share with you 50 fun things to do this fall.
Delightful French Macarons at Le Bon Macaron
Le Bon Macaron is the best place to find handmade, authentic French macarons in Michigan. They have two locations, one in Ann Arbor, and one in Grand Rapids, both locations also serve ice cream, handmade sodas, coffees, espresso, a variety of tea, and they have a cute selection of merchandise like travel mugs, totes, and clothing that any Francophile should enjoy.
Our Apple Orchard Harvest
Each year Robin and I head out to an apple orchard and buy a few pounds of organic apples for ourselves, our family members, and our neighbors. We turn what we keep for ourselves into preserves, or eat them when they’re fresh in fall salads, or we make one of Robin’s favorite desserts, an apple crumble. This fall, we got an early start and headed to our favorite orchard to support their dedicated organic and sustainable farm and orchards, and as usual, it was a wonderful time!

Holland is one of my favorite cities in the Midwest, because it is on Lake Michigan, it’s home to my favorite Michigan festival, the Tulip Time Festival, which sees about 7 million tulips bloom each year in May, and it has consistently been ranked as one of the happiest towns in the United States. Famous all over North America for their stunning flower festival, unique red light house, incredible lake views, and breathtaking sunsets, Holland is a lovely place to visit during any Midwest trip.
