Japanese food is one of my very favorite types of food because there are so many delicious options and incredible flavors I can enjoy as a gluten-free pescatarian. Rule of Thirds in Brooklyn, New York is one of the best Japanese restaurants I’ve had on the East Coast. We went here for brunch the day before departing for my birthday trip to Bar Harbor & Acadia National Park, and it was a truly fantastic experience on a cozy, rainy day.

Summer Essentials Volume 8
I love these summer essentials in volume 8. Mixing cool, crisp whites, woven accessories, distressed denim pieces, and elegant, museum-quality gold jewelry makes getting dressed and looking put together effortless. I’ve been reaching for white eyelet pieces and white sunglasses more frequently as the temperatures balance out. Pairing these with timeless gold pieces like these elevate the looks I create and garner plenty of compliments when I wear these too! What are your go-to summer staples? I hope you enjoy exploring mine!
Sunday Brunch at Clay in Gardiner, NY
We returned to Wildflower Farms for another gorgeous stay, this time in the heart of summer, and we had a splendid time. While there, we enjoyed a farm-to-table Sunday Brunch at Clay, which I’ve written about for brunch and a sunset dinner previously. Just as spectacular as before, our meals here were nothing short of perfection. The service, atmosphere, food, and flavors were all exquisite, and it’s one of many reasons we and so many others keep coming back for more.
What We Ate at Mohonk Mountain House
Everything we ate at Mohonk Mountain House was outstanding. I didn’t have a single bite I didn’t like, and everything was almost too pretty to eat. So, to inspire your sojourn to this neck of breathtaking Hudson Valley, here’s a little food diary! You loved the first one of these I made about Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, MI, so hopefully, you’ll enjoy this one just as much. I know I did! Did I mention the food is included in your stay? That’s right, this didn’t cost us an extra cent!
Blockprint Maxi in Organic Cotton
Clara the Label, Victoria Dunn’s new sister brand, is handmade in Jaipur, India, using traditional block printing techniques, organic cotton, and comfortable cuts. The colors are so vibrant, the fabric is soft, and the fits are super comfortable, particularly in the heat. I wore this gorgeous Hazel Blockprint Maxi, which is only $50, during our visit to Mohonk Mountain House in Hudson Valley, NY, and it was the perfect companion from breakfast by the lake and a walk around the property to a dip in the pool and lounging poolside. Use code WELCOME25 to take 25% off your entire purchase from Clara the Label. That makes my dress only $37.50!
Mohonk Mountain House in Hudson Valley, NY
Think of the best aspects of an eco-friendly summer camp, but geared towards adults (or the entire family), and you’re likely picturing something pretty close to Mohonk Mountain House. This charming luxury resort was the ultimate weekend getaway in New Paltz, NY, in the Hudson Valley. We had individualized tennis coaching, paddle boarded, hiked, canoed, took an archery lesson, did three different kinds of yoga, hiked all around the property, ate world-class food, went swimming, and had a fantastic time! I can’t wait to tell you all about how we spent our rainy weekend in my Mohonk Mountain House Review!
Starry Night Style
There’s something so fun about dressing for a theme, and today’s outfit’s theme is starry night style! I’m wearing a black dress with cutouts (this runs small, so consider sizing up) with gold jewelry and gold accents.
