The Fairy Pools on the Isle of Skye in north-western Scotland are one of my favorite places we’ve ever been. This was the place we decided to renew our vows on our fifth wedding anniversary, and it couldn’t have been anymore perfect. The water was unbelievably clear, there was hardly anyone else around, and the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. Read on to learn how to get there, where to park, what to bring, and the best times to visit.

Visiting Newfields Gardens & Sculpture Park
I first visited Newfields in Indianapolis, IN (which is the campus’ new name as of 2017) in 2014 with my husband when it was just the Indianapolis Museum of Art, and again in 2017 for my cousin’s wedding, where they were married in a quaint outdoor ceremony amongst beautiful flowers and plants. Home of an extensive art collection featuring the likes of Roy Lichtenstein, Picasso, Rembrandt, Georgia O’Keefe, and many others, as well as an extensive 152 acre park, Newfields is now more of a public garden and event venue than art museum.
Vineyard Vines New Troy, MI Location
There are few brands I love as much as Vineyard Vines. They give so much back to each community they’re apart of, they employ the friendliest people, they create such beautiful, quality clothing, they respect their customers, I could go on and on. Their success is due in large part to the “real good people” they…
New Orleans: City Guide
[Continued from Part 1] **I have never visited the south (as an adult), and I’ll be the first to admit that I had a lot of preconceived notions about what it would be like that turned out to be completely wrong! For instance, I assumed everyone spoke with a thick southern accent, which was not…
Road Trip to New Orleans Part 1: Roadtrip
Our route for the first portion of our trip, Detroit, MI to Fort Smith, AR! As you know if you keep up with my YouTube videos, I totaled my car when someone cut me off to dodge a plastic trashcan (I would’ve rather bought the empty trash can owner 100 new trash cans than wreck my…
Hiking in a Cloud Along Sky Top Trail
During our stay at Mohonk Mountain House in New York’s Hudson Valley, we hiked the famous Sky Top Trail during heavy fog, which is just a low-lying stratus cloud. So, as we hiked higher into the mountains, the visible distance drastically decreased. At one point, we could hardly see our hands in front of our faces. I tried to take photos of this, but as you can imagine, it didn’t turn out super well because everything was so white and milky, haha. Still, here are some of my favorite shots from our gorgeous hike, which eventually cleared up enough to take some really pretty photos.

The Maker Fragrance Launch at Sephora in NYC
I was invited to New York City by my friends at The Maker to celebrate the launch of their signature fragrances at Sephora. As part of the lovely evening, they invited us to their NYC The Maker Hotel Shop on West 16th Street. There, founders Lev Glazman and Alina Roytberg offered guests cocktails that were handcrafted to reflect the respective attributes of their fragrances. Additionally, they had light bites and plenty of fragrance samples, and they gave us great insight into layering fragrances to create one’s own unique scentscape.
LTK Connecticut Pre-NYFW Creator Luncheon
Yesterday, ahead of New York Fashion Week, I attended a lovely luncheon at Nomâde in Westport, Connecticut, hosted by LTK (formerly rewardStyle), The Connecticut Edit, and Moffly Media with some of the state’s best and most creative brands and female content creators. It was such a pleasure to join the hosts for an afternoon of learning, inspiration, and wonderful conversation. LTK’s VP of Creator Expansion & The Connecticut Edit’s founder Samantha Yanks hosted a fantastic panel of inspirational women like PR, health, and beauty pro Chelsea Keyes McDuffie, Kat Ashmoore, the founder of Kat Can Cook, and Vanessa Lewis, local business owner of Penfield Collective. I’ll take you along with me and share what I learned about the current state of content creation!

Tuckernuck’s Annual Online Sample Sale is happening soon! I’ve written about this every year since their first online sale in 2021, and every single year I’ve scored awesome deals up to 85% off retail prices on 1000s of their brand name items like Tuckernuck, Canada Goose, Mother, STAUD, Alexis, Sea New York, Agua by Agua Bendita, Cara Cara, LoveShackFancy, and hundreds of others.
