I have been posting to my blog every day for nearly 3 months straight, and not just short posts, but long, in-depth travel guides, restaurant reviews, travel tips & how-to guides, and so much more. It’s been a lot of work, but it’s been so much fun to share so many wonderful places and pieces of advice with you! I’ve also been dreading cold winter weather because I have always struggled with seasonal depression, and I hate snow and cold weather. More than anything, I hate being stuck inside with nothing to do and nowhere to go, plus I always miss the green plants and flowers that come with nicer weather.
With that in mind, I’m taking the next couple of days off because even though it’s the middle of November, Detroit is experiencing a beautiful heatwave and the cleanest air we’ve had in months! It’s supposed to be in the high 70s and sunny for the next few days, so I’ll be outside hiking and enjoying the sunshine
before it abandons us here in Michigan for the next six months or so when we will have to live in total darkness and subzero weather. Okay, that’s a bit dramatic, but did I mention how much I dislike cold, snowy weather and trapped inside? Ick.
Maybe I’ll post about my hiking trip, and maybe I won’t, but I wanted to let you know I’ll be out of the office, so to speak, and that I’m taking a bit of a break, but that I’ll be back again soon with daily posts and more travel inspiration for you before you know it. If it’s nice where you are, take a break from what you’re doing and go for a walk “with” me! Even half of an hour will make a huge difference to your mood, energy levels, and happiness.
