Out of Office for a Month in Europe

My husband and I are heading to Europe for a month so I won’t be posting as often to my blog, nor will I be able to approve comments while I’m away. We’ll start our adventure in Germany, heading to the Czech Republic, then to Austria, southern Germany for Oktoberfest, and then to France and Belgium!

It feels like it’s been ages since we’ve gone on a journey like this, and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to explore numerous new (to me) regions in western and eastern Europe. I would have liked to have ventured further east. Still, with the uncertainty involving Russia and their attack on Ukraine, we’ve been advised against our original itinerary, including Lithuania and Romania. Altered vacation plans aside, I sincerely hope the people of Ukraine can reassert their independence soon. It’s heartbreaking to watch that unfold. It’s mind-boggling that such senseless violence and hatred still exist in modern times, but I imagine that’s what people have thought across millennia as similar events occurred.
