This week’s style theme is super comfortable organic pajamas, and this robe is my favorite. It marries the best aspects of a crisp, cozy spa robe with that ultra-soft robe you’ve had for ages. This ultra-crisp, organic cotton waffle knit robe has affixed robe ties, so they’re never uneven or lost, kimono-style sleeves that don’t need to be rolled to be the perfect length, and deep pockets. The organic cotton sleep dress is white yet not sheer, relaxed for a comfortable fit, and has side slits for better flow and movement, setting it apart from other long tee-style sleep shirts.

I love Skin loungewear so much that if I’m not wearing a dress or working out, I’m almost certainly wearing it head to toe. They have some excellent sales that have made upgrading my conventional basics to organic textiles from this woman-owned business effortless. I’ve scored some of their organic cotton tee shirts for around $18 on sale, which is cheaper than anywhere else I’ve ever found. Sign-up for their emails on their website to get notified about their sales if you’re like me and love stocking up on your favorite pieces. Skin has ruined other loungewear brands for me – I can never go back to wearing standard t-shirts or leggings now! Everything they make is top-tier and well worth the price point.
I have some Skin items I’ve owned for years, and despite countless washes, wears, and adventures, they still look phenomenal. Regarding sizing, I wear my normal size according to their size chart, which is a ‘0’ on their size chart or an XS/2/4 in standard sizes. Their garments are designed to be worn relaxed, so if you’re looking for a cozier, looser fit or if you have a larger bust, you can comfortably size up.
I never used to wear robes, but after trying one from Skin a few years ago, I don’t know how I ever got ready or got out of the shower without one. They make everything feel more luxurious and tranquil, particularly when they’re as easy to wear as this Skylar organic cotton waffle knit robe. I think I now have around 7 or 8 of them, which may seem excessive, BUT they’re super comfortable, help regulate my temperature, and they’ve helped with the winter blues I experience when it’s cold. I know it may seem like a small thing, but not freezing right out of the shower has made a tremendous difference in my mood. I may have been born in the far north, but I was not built for the cold!
I’ve worn other robes and found them too rough (I can’t stand faux materials, garments that feel like plastic, or anything fuzzy), or they shed or pill. I’ve owned other robes that fell apart after a wash or two, and I thought I’d given up on them until I tried Skin’s robes. All I can say is that I’m completely and utterly obsessed, and they’ve transformed how I view my daily routine.
Wearing comfortable, quality clothing is a form of self-care, and as often as it makes sense to do, I encourage you to consider elevating your daily rituals. I think we all too often wait for special occasions rather than making every day special and celebrating ourselves.
I used to do this with my Diptyque candles. I never wanted to burn them “just in case” guests came over who might want to enjoy them with me, or I wanted to make a day in the future extra special, so I’d save them, and they just sat around, unused and collecting dust. When I decided to do at least one thing a day that felt extra special, like lighting a Diptyque candle, giving myself a facial, spending extra time getting ready while listening to my favorite music, or elevating my post-shower routine so that every shower felt like part of a spa experience, my happiness soared.
Love yourself. Replace your old robe and elevate it to something good for you and the environment, like organic cotton. Retire your old collegiate tee shirt pajamas and buy yourself something that helps you relax, makes you feel good, and helps you sleep better. Pamper yourself. Be kind to yourself. You’re worth it!
