I am absolutely obsessed with unique handbags, and this zodiac handbag, which was hand beaded on a metal frame by the woman owned company Mary Frances, is absolutely stunning, and is one of my favorite handbags. Read on to see why I love this zodiac handbag, the company that made it, and funky bags in general.

Navy and white is my favorite color combination. It’s classic, easy to pull off, and it looks great on everyone. Lately, I’ve been loving pleated skirts, metal handbags, and eyelet blouses, which if you regularly read my blog, I’m sure you’ve noticed by now. There’s just something about the versatility of a white blouse, the timeless elegance of a pleated skirt, and the unique integrity and undeniable chicness of a metal handbag, like this celestial zodiac handbag Mary Frances sent me to style. I just adore how intricate the beading is, and as someone obsessed with astronomy and an occasional interest in checking my horoscope, I was enamored with this handbag from the moment I saw it.
I love Mary Frances handbags, like my gingerbread cookie handbag, this taco truck, and this gorgeous lobster bag I wore Mexico last year, because not only are they handmade, by women for women, the company is woman owned, the pieces are very high quality, and there’s simply nothing else like them out on the market. They create handbags shaped like art supplies or a paint palette, a taco truck, a matchbook, a tennis racquet, and so many other amazing things. If you love unique handbags like I do, this brand is something you simply must explore!
This particular zodiac bag is made of a metal shell and hand beaded with handcuff glass beads made to look like the 12 zodiac constellations, with a gorgeous sun in the middle of the bag. The reverse of the bag is a crescent moon, which means you can have either design facing out. It’s really two bags in one! The straps are detachable, so it can be carried as a clutch, or worn as a handbag. I love how versatile, fun, and playful these handbags are! They’re the perfect signature for any look, and I used this ornate bag to elevate an otherwise basic outfit to something much more fun and vibrant.
