I want to start off by saying this post is not sponsored, and I am not a nutritionist; I’m simply sharing my experience using somethings that have worked extremely well for me. I’ve spent thousands of dollars over my lifetime trying various brands of vitamins, nutritional supplements, and protein powders, only to find that they make my stomach hurt, they taste horrible, or they don’t have any noticeable affect one me. Of course, everyone is different, but I have been using Moon Juice supplements on and off for years, and over the last six months I really got consistent with it, and I have noticed a tremendous difference that has improved my mood and energy levels significantly, and it feels wrong not to share something that has positively impacted my life so drastically, with you.
Packaged in easily recyclable glass bottles and paper labels, Moon Juice products are organic, vegan, ethically sourced, gluten free, and don’t have any fillers – they’re just pure plant powders and herbal blends, called “dusts”. I am allergic to both peas and gluten, which are two of the most common fillers or sources of protein for protein powders and nutritional supplements, so when I discovered that Moon Juice contained neither, I bought an assortment to try, and I was shocked that not only did they not make me feel sick – they actually did what they said they would do, and they taste fantastic.
Moon Juice has a bit of a cult following I accidentally stumbled into one day when I was visiting West Hollywood for business. The brand seems a bit “woo” at first glance, but unlike most other nutritional brands, this one had the results to back up their mystic themed advertising touting the ability to “become an alchemist”, among other things.

I was skeptical, but from the first Moon Juice drink I had in the store, I thought this brand was different. Here are 9 of their products that have made the biggest difference in my health, energy levels, and overall wellbeing, as well as how I like to use them.
I love using this protein powder as a pre-workout or post-workout supplement, or on days where I’m short on my protein target. As a vegetarian, I am very careful to ensure that I receive adequate nutrition every day, and this protein powder helps me reach that target. To prepare this, I generally mix 1 scoop (40 calories) with 2 cups of almond milk and a handful of ice cubes, then I blend everything on high in the blender. Currently, the chocolate flavor is sold out, but the vanilla and the blue spirulina protein are just as delicious!
Ashwagandha is an herb from India, also called Indian Ginseng, that helps reduce feelings of stress and anxiety by reducing the absorption of the stress hormone cortisol. While I don’t take this daily, I do take it when I’m feeling overwhelmed, or when I am about to travel on a plane for long haul flights, as it helps me feel calmer. I wouldn’t say the effects of this are very powerful, but it is powerful enough that I do notice a difference in my stress levels. I add 1 tsp this to smoothies or my protein drinks. It doesn’t have much of a flavor, so it blends in perfectly with the other items on this list.
Magnesium is a nutrient that every single cell in our body needs to function properly, and the main source of magnesium comes from our diets. Magnesium helps our body build muscle, heal, move, and keeps us alive, so since I was one of the 50% of Americans and Europeans who wasn’t getting enough magnesium in my diet, I need to supplement it. Not only is magnum necessary for every bodily process and biochemical reaction that takes place in the body helps keep the body regular, it also helps prevent indigestion and keeps people regular. I felt an immediate difference after taking the Berry Unstressing Magnesi-om powder (1 tsp with water, nightly), and I found I had more energy, I recovered from workouts faster, and I felt less stressed during my day.
I’m on my 4th container of this supplement. It has a lovely, light berry flavor, and sometimes for breakfast I mix one serving of this into my GTS Coconut Yogurt, and then top with some raw granola, fruit, and chia seeds for a nutrient packed breakfast – it’s my go-to breakfast!
Collagen provides structure and elasticity to the support systems of our bodies – ligaments, tendons, muscles, and even bones. It helps give our skin the ability to stretch without wrinkling, and as we age our bodies produce less collagen, so it’s wise to add more, in order to maintain plump skin, healthy joints, and a radiant complexion, from the inside out. Paired with sun protection, a healthy, wholesome diet, and regular exercise, this collagen supplement has helped me keep a smooth complexion when the rest of my peers have minor wrinkles, crows feet, and laugh lines. To be clear, there is absolutely nothing wrong with wrinkles, and I think they are beautiful. I mix 2 tbsp of this in with my morning smoothie, or into cold reishi coffee on days when I need an extra pick-me-up.
Beauty Dust, one of the most popular products in the Moon Juice collection, contains Schisandra, Amla, Ashwagandha, Rehmannia, Goji & Pearl, and helps prevent free radicals from damaging the body, helps improve the look and feel of skin, and reduces inflammation. I noticed the redness in my skin began disappearing after just about 2 weeks of adding 1tsp of this into my smoothies, drinks, and even coconut yogurt in the morning.
Dream Dust contains a blend of Ashwagandha, Jujube, Polygala, Chamomile & Schisandra, which help the body wind down for a more restful, restorative slumber. I adore how this helps me relax, and it’s especially potent on days when I have a hard time “turning off” my brain after a stressful day of work. I mix 1tsp of this with hot water and a little ground organic lavender in order to help me sleep restfully. I often have really vivid nightmares, and I haven’t had a single one when drinking this.

I’ve never heard of Moon Juice before, but reading through how you utilize each product was really interesting. I like supplements, when I can find ones that I’m not allergic to + don’t taste gross. It sounds like these are total winners. I’ll have to look into adding a few of them into my diet!
