Eva and I have been friends online for just over two years now, and we were finally able to meet in person this past weekend at New York Fashion Week! Eva attends design school in NYC, so she was the perfect resource for places to eat, where to go, where to shop, etc. for my first time in NYC. We had a wonderful time sightseeing, attending fashion shows together, eating gigantic milkshakes together, and, forcing having my husband photograph us. Being the amazing friend that I am (haha), I took a sequence of photos for Eva’s blog (which you can visit here), along with a few more glamour shots. I think they turned out beautifully, although that’s easy to do when the subject is so lovely!

While we weren’t invited to many of the same shows, it was still really fun to attend the ones together that we could. Eva took us to see the famous flatiron building in NYC, which was even cooler in person! Nearby there was a giant clock tower, a beautiful plaza, food carts, a grassy park lush and full of trees and birds, and many other breathtaking edifices. We run a clothing related Facebook page together, we’ve collaborated on a number of IG/Blog posts where she sends me some of her designs and I style them, etc. so even though this was the first time we were able to meet in person, it felt as though we’d been friends forever!
This is the gigantic milkshake I ordered from Black Tap in NYC. Yes, that is a full slice of confetti swirl cake on top. The rim was decked out in vanilla frosting and rainbow sprinkles. Just looking at this monstrosity gives me diabetes haha. Eva ordered one that had pink and blue chocolates around the frosted (with vanilla frosting) rim, a gigantic round lollipop and two sticks of rock candy. I couldn’t eat most of this, but what I did have was soooo good! We walked around NYC so much that I have bruises from my poor choice of footwear, but it was so much fun nonetheless!

Thank you all so much for your recommendation in NYC, they were so helpful! Keep an eye out for my recap of what we did in NYC, what I did during my first New York Fashion week, and more of my adventures!
