We loved eating at Matcha Mama so much, that we went back 4 times during our time in Tulum. Not only is it inexpensive, it’s fresh, delicious, and they have endless options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They serve everything from raw juices, smoothies & kombucha to smoothie and açai Bowls, as well as ice creams, granolas, matcha teas and foods, and others light treats. Everything is made fresh in front of you, and while they only have 6 swings to sit on, they have a to go option. Locals get a 15% discount, and a carry out container or cup is an extra $10 pesos. Around meal times, there was a bit of a wait, especially for prime seating in front of the signs on the swings, and it didn’t help that people were having full blown photoshoots on the swings and staying well beyond their welcome, but it was definitely worth the wait. I’d recommend going right when they open or on off times outside of common meal times if you want to take photos or sit on the fun swings!
