“Run away to the sultry beaches & storied jungles of Tulum as you sip this lush adaptogenic wellness potion inspired by the colorful sun-kissed flavors & soothing vibes of Mexico.” – Magic Hour

Hand-blended in Ojai, California, I blended the delicious horchata chai with tapioca pearls for a fresh, summery take on Taiwanese bubble tea. It was so delicious and fun to make, and it inspired me to take a moment to relax, sit back, and sip tea. The horchata flavor took me right back to our time spent in gorgeous, sunny Tulum.
The bottle of tea contains around 65 cups worth of organic tea, and it’s available either as part of the subscription set or individually. Individually, it’s available in four different sizes, from samplers to the full-size bottle I have. The stand-alone bottle comes with a cute postcard like the one above that talks about the background, ingredients, and steeping instructions of the tea.
To make the Tulum Horchata Chai, I followed the steeping instructions, cooled the tea in the refrigerator once it was done steeping, and cooked the tapioca pearls according to the instructions. Then, I blended 1/4 cup of tapioca bubbles with 1/2 cup of organic almond milk and filled the rest of the glass with cooled tea and a handful of ice. I added some Ceylon cinnamon and enjoyed. I used these beautiful Serena & Lily seagrass-wrapped glasses to add a more tropical touch to my drink. My cloth napkins are also older Serena & Lily – similar to these.
