The Spa at Inn at Bay Harbor is a luxurious oasis of relaxtion and rejuvination offering services such as massages, facials, manicures & pedicures, salon services, and so much more. After exploring the Petoskey Area on foot for a week, the couples massage we enjoyed at the spa was a decadent way to unwind, slow down, and savor our time up north. Located in the hotels right wing, the spa and salon are top-tier service providers of luxurious body, massage, hair, and nail treatments. There’s also a boutique inside the spa, offering the products used in services, as well as souvenirs, sundries, clothing, and eco-conscious cosmetics.

Services

Massages for couples, individuals, expectant mothers, and athletes are performed here by licensed and highly skilled massage therapists to work out each client’s specific needs and ensure that they leave The Spa feeling relaxed and refreshed. Guests can also enjoy a hot Petoskey stone massage, an aromatherapy massage, a revitalizing reiki massage, or Swedish Massage. Our couples massage was an excellent way to relax together and enjoy peace during our time in Northern Michigan.

The massage therapist who gave me my massage, Ashley, did an excellent job. I’ve been receiving regular massages since I was in middle school, and I’ve had massages on 4 different continents, and I can honestly say that this was one of the very best deep tissue massages I’ve ever experienced. I can’t recommend their massage services enough! After our massage, they offered us hot towels, heated pillows, as well as locally crafted chocolate truffles and mimosas to end our experience. They also offer lots of massage add-on options like dry brushing or deep moisturizing treatments, so that guests can completely customize their massage experience.

If you’re looking for something less involved than a full body massage, or perhaps you don’t have the full 60-90 minutes to dedicate to a massage, try out one of the spas signature body treatments like the Ginger Glow, Moisture Quench, or Serenity By the Bay, or Eminence Facials, like the facial for aging skin, Illuminating facial for brightness, or customize your own facial experience. The Spa’s facials are all designed to help relieve facial tension, encourage lymphatic drainage, detoxify, and reduce puffiness associated with fluid retention. I love a good facial, because they not only help alleviate facial and neck pain, but they also help keep my complexion clear and bright.

Salon services like blow outs, deep moisturizing treatments, hair extensions, cuts and colors, waxing, makeup application, lash extensions, and much more are also offered by the fantastic staff. If you’re in the area for a special event, consider having your hair and makeup done at the salon by their world-class stylists so you can look and feel your absolute best for your big event.

The nail services offered at The Spa are second to none. From pedicures for adventure worn feet to a wedding day manicure, the nail technicians here are absolutely phenomenal and extremely skilled. They offer shellac, dips, and an assortment of nail treatments to revitalize or customize your nail treatment experience. I highly recommend the Dip Manicure!

Atmosphere

We loved how quiet, peaceful, and intimate The Spa was. Everything was decorated in a beautiful sandy motif, and every detail from the lighting to the ambient temperature was just right for kicking back and enjoying our spa day. The massage tables were one of my favorite features of the entire spa, because they had an adjustable thermostat, so that you could control the temperature and be as warm or cool as you’d like. When it came to the staff, they were so friendly, professional, and welcoming that we immediately felt right at home.
