Rugby Grille at Townsend Hotel is one of the most beautiful and luxurious places to eat in Metro-Detroit. The dishes are ornately decorated and prepared using only the finest and freshest ingredients, the atmosphere is refined and peaceful, and the staff were so attentive, yet discreet that it took us awhile to figure out how our glasses were staying full, and how every plate we finished magically disappeared. I cannot recommend the Scottish Salmon and Tuna Tartare enough, because the flavors were so satisfying and savory, and the fish just melted in our mouths. The Scottish Salmon is served with cauliflower puree, charred artichoke and cauliflower salad, pea tendril, and avocado, daikon slaw, spicy aioli, wonton crisps accompany the ahi ahi Tuna Tartar dish.
We diner here around our anniversary, and were given the most thoughtfully decorated table that was covered in fresh rose petals with a card congratulating us on our happiness and wishing us many more to come, plus they presented us with a lovely dessert, so if you are celebrating a special event or looking for a romantic place for date night, or even a place for a honeymoon, Rugby Grille and Townsend Hotel in Birmingham make guests feel cherished and appreciated, plus they do quite literally all of the work for you during your meal or stay in general. They can even plan out an itinerary for your stay so you can experience everything the city and hotel have to offer!
