Ann Arbor will always hold a special place in my heart, because it’s home to my Alma Mater, the University of Michigan! Whenever friends and family would come to visit me, they would have to stay at a hotel, because the girls-only dorm where I lived, Martha Cook, didn’t allow male overnight guests, and my room was so small it couldn’t accommodate more than one extra person. Due to these limitations, I quickly became familiar with the best hotels in the area, and Weber’s Boutique Hotel was definitely one of the more luxurious options, so my friends and family would usually stay here, or at the Bell Tower Hotel when they wanted to stay directly on campus with me. Weber’s was always a favorite of my cousins, because it has a massive four seasons indoor pool, hot tub, and recreation area, plus the spiral staircases to the rooms near the pool are one of the most unique hotel features we’ve ever seen. It’s also nice that the hotel enforces a “no kids in the pool after 10pm” rule, which keeps the noise down, and allows adults to swim without disruptions until the pool closes at midnight.
The hotel has a number of beautiful spots for events, which were all full the entire weekend we were here most recently, and it was so exciting to see people getting married, or having their wedding receptions just outside our room. I remember attending a wedding reception here a few years ago, and several bridal showers, which isn’t surprising given this is one of the most easily accessible and lovely venues in the area!
One of the best reasons to stay at Weber’s, aside from how comfortable the rooms always are, is that it’s located just off the highway (yet far enough away that you can’t hear any road noise), which makes it very convenient and easy to find for those who may not be familiar with the area. Weber’s also has an award winning restaurant, lounge, and terrace dining area attached to it, which makes this one of the most convenient hotels in the area if you’re traveling for business. The hotel itself is beautifully appointed, and each monochromatic room has photos of Ann Arbor decorating the walls, which as a photographer myself, I loved seeing how other people captured the area and some of my favorite buildings on campus like Angell Hall, Michigan Stadium, and the Union.
We’ve had a wonderful time at Weber’s Boutique Hotel every time we’ve stayed here, and I know of quite a few University of Michigan alum and current students who swear by staying here, because it’s one of the most luxurious and convenient places to stay in the area, plus it’s beautiful!
