Lola 41 Nantucket Review
If you know me, you know I love sushi. Fish, vegetables, and rice are my three favorite foods. The endless combinations are always delightful, always healthy, and always leave me feeling great. As someone with a gluten allergy, finding foods that make me feel good can be a challenge, so when I travel, I seek out things I know can be easily tweaked to accommodate my needs. Enter Lola 41 on Nantucket. Inspired by ingredients found along the 41st parallel, namely Japan. This was one of the best meals we had on Nantucket, and a place we still talk about regularly. Here’s why we loved it!

Ambience
Set inside a gorgeous Nantucket-style building, stepping into Lola 41 felt like stepping into an old friend’s home. Staff greeted us happily, ushered us to our seats, and took care to ensure we understood the menu along with what we could and could not eat given my allergy. Everyone was so kind, attentive, helpful, and friendly, which isn’t surprising for the island, but it did make our dinner even more memorable and pleasant.
Our Meals
As we weren’t too hungry (blame it on stopping at the Juice Bar for ice cream an hour before dinner haha), we chose two light entrées and shared.
Oh, did I mention they have a full bar, and they use biodegradable straws? I love businesses that take environmental sustainability seriously!

Tuna, salmon, avocado, cucumber, scallions, and wasabi mayo made for the perfect gluten-free roll. I’m not picky at all, so I told our server about my allergy, and she had the sushi chefs make this for us. It was SO delicious. Each bite practically melted in our mouths.

When my husband saw poké nachos on the menu, he immediately wanted them. Our server rearranged the ingredients so I could eat the parts that were gluten-free with nori sheets, and it was splendid! I’m so thankful I got to try this, because it was fantastic.
10/10!
Final Thoughts
Everything about Lola 41 Nantucket, from the decor and convenient location to the delicious food, accommodating chefs, and splendid company, was impossibly perfect. We will definitely return next time we visit Nantucket, which has become an annual tradition for us.
