When I need a dress for a special occasion, Lilly Pulitzer is the first place I look. When we were heading down to Charleston, I knew I wanted to wear something unique and memorable with a classic twist. That’s why when I spotted this beautiful Lilly Pulitzer Amrita Dress, one of the prettiest white dresses the brand has ever created, I knew it would be one of my favorite outfits of our trip!
When we went to dinner at Charleston Grill inside Belmond Charleston Place on the final night of our trip, I thought this would be the perfect occasion to wear this stunning eyelet dress. The midi-length hit perfectly at my ankles, and the eyelet was cool and breezy despite it being warm outside.
One of my favorite things about this dress is that it has a separate slip dress underneath, which has plenty of stretch. I thought this was not only so comfortable, but it helped the dress fit perfectly. The form-fitting stretch knit slip snaps right into the dress’s shoulder, allowing the looser outer eyelet portion to hang effortlessly. I wore my normal size in this dress, so I’d say it is true to size.
The Lilly Pulitzer Amrita Dress buttons are a slightly shimmery white, which catches the light at the right time of day for a hint of glint. A matching eyelet sash and comfortable tie arm bows perfectly round out the dress’s darling details.
I paired this timeless dress with a classic cane tote, also from Lilly (sold out, similar here, the clutch version here), and a pair of espadrilles with a subtle pop of blue and white stripes. It was the perfect outfit for a perfect dinner!
Thank you so much to Lilly Pulitzer for sponsoring this post! I’ve worn this brand nearly my entire life, so it means so much to me to be able to work with them on projects like this. Check out my Lilly Pulitzer archives here.
