Thank you to Coolhaus Ice cream for sponsoring this post!
Labor Day is a time to honor working people in the United States along with our friends in Canada. Coolhaus sent me some delicious, architecturally inspired ice cream, to share their story of how the founders turned their dream into their dream job! Founders Natasha & Freya, both of whom had backgrounds in real estate decided the ice cream and cookie sandwiches they made looked like houses (making an ice cream house=coolhaus, get it?) started their business out of the back of an old postal van at Coachella, and now operate ice cream vans all over the country, plus they’re available in Meijer stores, VGs, Spartan Nash, and lots of other retailers (or you can order online here!).
I love supporting small businesses, because without them, our country wouldn’t be the same. We LOVED the Campfire S’more pint (it’s salted Tahitian vanilla bean ice cream with graham marshmallows, cookie butter, and dark chocolate squares!) and the Dirty Mint Chip flavor (Fresh Mint leaf ice cream, brown sugar, and dark chocolate chips), they were packed with uniquely delicious flavors! Coolhaus will be such a great addition to our Labor Day festivities. What’re your plans to celebrate?
I made the ice cream a bit more festive by placing a waffle cone bowl inside a glass glitter bowl and surrounding it with fresh, in-season fruits like strawberries, blue berries, and raspberries!
