Juniper Cottage, Aragosta at Goose Cove
Staying in Juniper Cottage, one of Aragosta’s largest cottages, was a dream come true. Boasting two spacious bedrooms, a kitchen, dining room, bathroom (of course), and a sprawling deck overlooking the ocean and forest, I was in heaven. Did I mention this cottage has two cozy fireplaces? Sleeping up to five people, it’s the perfect spot for a girl’s trip, anniversary, elopement, romantic getaway, and everything in between. Here’s why I loved Juniper Cottage within Aragosta at Goose Cove.

Arrival at Aragosta at Goose Cove
Aragosta at Goose Cove is an hour and a half from Bar Harbor, Maine, and three hours from Portland, Maine. Off the beaten path, I believed it well worth the bucolic journey. I’d never been to this part of Maine before, but the journey from Bar Harbor was pleasant, and it was a great adventure.
Check-in was a breeze. We were handed a pamphlet of information, our keys, and told where to park. We brought our own bags up to our room (I assume help is available for those who need it, but I didn’t ask). All in all, from the time we pulled in until we began unpacking in Juniper Cottage, it was less than ten minutes.
Ps. Keep an eye out for a wooden sign that denotes your parking spot outside your cottage. Ours was down the hill from our cottage.
Juniper Cottage & Its Amenities
Juniper Cottage at Aragosta at Goose Cove on Deer Isle, Maine, exceeded my every expectation. The rooms were spacious, cozy, and welcoming. The view from our windows and wide deck was stunning, and the only thing missing from a lodging of this caliber was slippers. Everything else we could have possibly needed, from Le Labo toiletries, bathrobes, a hair dryer, a fully stocked kitchen, yoga mats, board games, and even prosecco in the refrigerator, was waiting for us. They even had dish soap, kitchen towels, and a Yeti ice bucket as well as fresh flowers, area guides, and extra blankets. It was utterly perfect!

Dining at Argosta
We had several incredible meals at Aragosta’s restaurant. My favorite was the tasting menu experience in the greenhouse, which I wrote a dedicated post about in my Fine Dining vertical. Every bite blew me away. Watching the sunset as course after course was delivered to us felt magical in a way few things ever do. The Verdict
I loved our stay inside Juniper Cottage within Aragosta. Everything from the service, the food, the wine and champagne, and all of the things to do in the area were phenomenal. While it is off the beaten path, it’s perfect for anyone looking to disconnect from the rest of the world and reconnect with themselves. Hike to Barred Island Nature Preserve at low tide, swim in the ocean, gaze at the stars and search for the Northern Lights, learn about the flora and fauna on Deer Isle, kayak, and take a few day trips during your time at Aragosta. You’ll have the perfect adventure with little to no effort on your part. I’m already dreaming of staying here again someday very soon.
