When I think of fun, colorful, easy-to-wear resort wear, I think of two brands: Lilly Pulitzer & Juliet Dunn. If you’re unfamiliar, Juliet Dunn (which I’ve worn here, here, and here) is entirely handmade using ethical and traditional block print techniques in India. The eponymous, woman-owned brand is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to shop because their styles are timeless, relaxed, comfortable, and unique. If you see one of these dresses, you know it’s Juliet Dunn! This Juliet Dunn Block Print Blouson Dress I recently wore near the ocean is my current favorite!

Juliet Dunn Blouson Dress, Senreve Midi Maestra Backpack, White Tieks, Brilliant Earth Necklace, T3 Curling Iron
Not only do I love wearing blue and white, but I love lightweight, soft dresses like this one. The botanical print of it and the delicate white scalloping along the hem and sleeve cuffs makes it that much more darling. Featuring tiny white block print flowers and thin, nearly imperceptible strands of radiant silver thread, this dress subtly catches the light and looks incredible in the sunshine. It really just screams ‘summertime’!
The brand’s sizing is a 0,1,2,3 structure. I am 5’7″ and normally wear an XS/S/4, and the size I wear in Juliet Dunn dresses varies. Her tie shoulder dresses run very snug in the chest, so I recommend sizing up one or even two sizes in those (I wear a 1 in those). The blouson dresses run very generous up top, so follow the size chart for the best fit. I’m wearing a 0 in this style, which is a 2-4 in US sizes, and it fits perfectly.
I wore this in Mystic, CT & Stonington, CT, recently during a warm stretch of weather and had so much fun exploring this lovely seaside part of Connecticut. I’ll write more about how we spent our long weekend in this coastal town, but for now, check out my Connecticut and United States travel archives for some great travel inspiration!
I have quite a few incredible trips planned this year, and I’m so excited to share with you where I’ll be heading. Of course, I’ll take you along with me and share all of the ins and outs so that when you visit someday, you can have the very best experience possible. I brought along and wore my new favorite travel bag, the Midi Maestra Bag in ‘Cream’ from Senreve (another woman-owned brand!). It’s convertible, so it can be worn four ways – as a backpack, crossbody, shoulder bag, and tote bag. It’s great for carrying all my travel documents, wallet, lip balm, camera batteries & memory cards, extra camera lens, and a water bottle. Its versatility means I can pack one bag and carry it for any occasion; plus, it’s available in many different colors, textures, and hardware combinations, so the style possibilities are endless. Watch for more posts about this bag, and see my other Senreve bag styled here.
