Irvine Spectrum Hotel by Marriott was an oasis after a long day spent out and about, exploring the surrounding area from before the sun was up until long after it went down. When we arrived, staff was on hadn’t to help us transport our luggage, find our room, and guide us to the places we needed to go. Everything was beautiful and clean, and our 2 bedroom suite had the most fantastic view of Irvine, the mountains off in the distance, and the surrounding area. If you’re flexible on the dates you want to visit, you could score a massive room like this for less than $300 per night!
Irvine is primarily a city for businesses and their employers or visitors, but there is SO much to do and Irvine Spectrum was a fantastic waypoint during our adventures. The hotel had 24 hour room service which was pretty decent for room service, a farmhouse style kitchen restaurant, bar and lounge in the lobby which was always busy, and the Hive & Honey rooftop bar which had panoramic views of all of Irvine and beyond on clear days. We caught a fantastic sunset on the day we decided to visit the roof, and it was simply incredible. We mainly ate our meals outside of the hotel, but other guests we spoke with raved about the small plates served at the rooftop bar, which were delicious when we tried them. If there aren’t enough options in the hotel for your dietary needs or personal preference, I recommend getting Uber Eats, especially if you don’t have a rental car at your disposal.
The hotel had a beautiful, fully stocked gym, a gorgeous pool deck which is perfect for sun bathing, swimming laps, or playing around with your loved ones. I could have spent all day photographing the sunset over the pool, especially because an earlier rain shower had made everyone leave and it was perfectly empty, however I had more reconnaissance to do, like our trip to Laguna Beach, which you can read about here. Anything we needed the hotel staff was happy to provide if they could, or give us recommendations on where we could find it ourselves, which to people from the other side of the country, this was greatly appreciated.
Our hotel room was beautiful and had everything we needed, including little amenities like makeup remover wipes, umbrellas, and we didn’t hear anyone out in the hallways at any point during our stay, despite there being a convention going on in the hotel. Speaking of amenities, there’s even laundry service for guests where we could wash our own clothes. If you’re a frequent, extended traveler like us, you’ll appreciate this last point as much as we did!
Overall, we absolutely loved our stay at Irvine Spectrum hotel, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting in the area. If you’re looking for somewhere to call home during a business trip or vacation in the area, Irvine Spectrum will treat you well, help you be refreshed each morning, and provide you with all of the information you might need during your stay.
Keep an eye out for my guide to Irvine, and a number of other cities in Southern California, and let me know in the comments if you have any recommendations for the area, places that can’t be missed, or if you’ve ever stayed at the beautiful Irvine Spectrum!
Thank you so much for reading, I hope this helps!
