Here are a few of my favorite botanical photographs, featuring my very favorite flowers, dahlias, from the Holland Farmers Market! They have such gorgeous colors, so much variety, and they never fail to put a smile on my face. I hope you enjoy these beautiful flowers. Want to see more flowers? Check out my Garden archives, here. The Holland Farmers Market happens every Wednesday and Saturday, rain or shine, from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. In the fall, they have an incredible selection of dahlias for $0.50 – $2.00 depending upon the size. They have flowers in every size, color, and color combination you can think of for dahlias, and they’re so incredible to look at. I absolutely love visiting this farmers market on the West side of the state, simply for their flowers!
In addition to a plethora of dahlias, the Holland Farmers Market also offer lots of other flowers, like sunflowers and gladiolus, which are a summer staple of ours. We always have fresh flowers on our tables at home! There’s also an abundant selection of fresh produce, jams, jellies, premade deserts, sauces, soaps, and handmade items. Each time there’s something new and different, and shopping at farmers markets is an excellent way to support local growers, hobby farmers, and craftsmen. Eating seasonally is much easier too after a visit to the farmers market, becasue everything is grown or made locally, so there’s no need to worry about how far your produce traveled or when it was harvested. There’s nothing fresher!
I love visting the Holland Farmers Market, and I think it’s one of the very best in the state. From the flowers and the premade pantry staples to the fresh produce, there’s a beautiful abundance at the farmers market that I’m so thankful to be able to take advantage of. Do you love shopping at farmers markets too? What’s your favorite farmers market to visit?
