Our time in Key West was absolutely incredible from start to finish. We stayed at H2O Suites, a luxury hotel with only 22 rooms. 11 of them, ours included, have private plunge pools, which means we could swim anytime, day or night, just outside our room. Not only that, they had a slew of excellent amenities that made our stay extra special. Here’s what we thought of our stay at H2O Suites in Key West.

Ambience of H2O Suites

We love to stay in places that are luxurious, eco-friendly, conveniently located, and full of character. We loved the modern elegance of H2O Suites and found it to be the perfect place to stay in Key West.

Surrounded by lush foliage, the hotel felt like a tropical paradise. I loved watching the palm trees sway, listening to the fountains trickle and bubble, and swimming whenever we wanted in our private pool, which was such a joy. More on that below!

Our Premier Luxury Suite with Private Pool

Our room had everything —a gorgeous patio with a table and chairs, a swing lounge chair, and, of course, plenty of gorgeous plants.

Inside, a spacious sitting room opens up into the bedroom and the massive bathroom. Beyond the bathroom was our private pool, which quickly became our favorite part of the room. If you plan to stay here and enjoy swimming, I highly recommend upgrading to get a private pool!

Our room was completely silent. We never heard other guests, even though the hotel was fully booked. The rooftop pool was filled with other hotel guests the entire time we were there, which was fun for a while, but it was great to have the option to retreat to a more relaxed space.

Our bed was extremely comfortable, the room had everything we needed, like a freezer and refrigerator, a writing desk, plenty of outlets, excellent water pressure, and ample storage for all of our things. We immediately felt right at home!

With a simple request, a bottle of wine or champagne, plus an assortment of snacks, can be delivered to guest rooms. It’s a great way to make special occasions even more special!

The lobby kept us stocked on fresh, local fruit during our stay!

Happy Hour
Ask the concierge about the complimentary happy hour cocktails at the rooftop bar.

Private Plunge Pools
Having a private plunge pool all to ourselves was a massive incentive for us to stay at H2O Suites. We had an incredible time swimming, reading in the pool, and relaxing.

Romance Add-On
Feeling romantic? The hotel offers fantastic romance packages that include special drinks, chocolate-covered strawberries, and rose petals everywhere!

Rooftop Pool & Bar
The rooftop pool & bar rounded out H2O Suites perfectly. It was a great spot to swim in the sunshine, grab a drink, and read by the pool.

Inside our room was an extensive snack bar. It was replenished every day, and we could call

Turndown Service
Every night, we had chocolates, ice cream, and muffins delivered to our rooms, along with more water. It was the ultimate turndown service! Plus, they usually did this around 4:30 pm, which was perfect because it allowed us to get to bed early without missing out.

Ultimate Concierge
Their concierge can make magic happen. Want a reservation at Dorada or Café Marquesa, but they’re booked solid? Done. Want to charter a private fishing trip? A seaplane to Dry Tortugas National Park? They’re on it! All of the staff here was incredible!

The Verdict

Everything here was perfect. There’s a reason H2O Suites is a five-star hotel, and it became obvious to us the moment we opened the door to our gorgeous room. This was definitely one of the top ten coolest hotels we’ve stayed in, and I’m so glad we had such a beautiful home away from home during our time in Key West.
