Bay Harbor Golf Club is currently ranked as the 13th most beautiful golf course in the entire world, and with stunning views of sailboats and whitecaps on Little Traverse Bay, as well as the surrounding forest, it’s easy to see why it ranks so highly. Home to three golf courses modeled after famous European golf courses, and designed Bay Harbor Golf Club has some of the best golfing in all of the United States.

The Links golf course was inspired by Irelands windswept terrain, and is situated along Little Traverse Bay and Lake Michigan. With the best lake views of any Michigan golf course, golfers have to compete against not only the terrain and their own personal goals, but Mother Nature as well. This windy course is so beautifully challenging, and features sand dunes, bluffs, and unbeatable views. Tee off at sunrise to enjoy the best sunrise golf spot in the entire state.
The Quarry is located inside the remains of an old shale rock quarry, that has since been reclaimed by nature, and the Bay Harbor Golf Club. Waterfalls, cliffs, stone gorges and ponds situated in the midst of a heavily forested area make this golf course one of the most unique courses in the entire world. Best for experienced golfers, this courses sharps angles and tough course features have won it multiple global golf awards for ingenuity and golf course design.
The Preserve Course is set in a hardwood forest, a ways back from the lake, and takes golfers through a full spectrum of Northern Michigan environments. From the lakeshore to hardwood forests, native wetlands, grassy fields, and dramatic sunrises and sunsets, this course is everything we love to see in a golf course and more. The perfect blend of natural landscaping and expertly designed obstacles, The Preserve is our favorite golf course at Bay Harbor’s Golf Club.
In addition to golfing, the Bay Harbor Golf Club has a spa & salon so you can relax and unwind after teeing off, as well as several dining options. Choose a meal at The Links Grille, Terrace Café, or the Snack Bar, or head into Bay Harbor proper, and enjoy brunch at the Pancake House, Fox & Rose, or my favorite Bay Harbor Restaurant, Vintage Chophouse & Winebar inside the Inn at Bay Harbor.
Happy Travels!
