I am obsessed with ginger jars, the beautiful ceramics covered in a blue and white chinoiserie pattern add color, interest, and dimension to any room. In fact, the entire surface of the dresser in our bedroom is covered in ginger jars and lamps that look like ginger jars. When I was approached by Marie Zélie, a Polish clothing house that offers custom tailoring, to share this beautiful ginger jar blouse, I was over the moon excited, because this top is just so “me”!

I was so excited to style this “Bluzka Iona Musaica” blouse featuring a gorgeous blue & white ginger jar motif wear it this spring! It was the perfect printed piece for my outfit in Newport, Rhode Island this past weekend and helped to ward off the cool chill of the ocean breeze and early spring weather.

To me, early spring means blue & white season is in full swing, so I kept a navy, blue, and cream color palette throughout my outfit. The layering of this blouse and my jacket made it so I was perfectly comfortable, even along the blustery coastline. My jeans are also my favorite pair that I own, and while I don’t often wear denim, when I do, it has to be comfortable, soft, and have a bit of stretch to it, and these Paige jeans tick all of those boxes.
While in Newport, we visited the International Tennis Hall of Fame, Blithwold Mansion to see their expansive daffodil fields during Daffodils Days, found a seashell covered shore, we walked along the beach, ate fresh seafood at a food truck that came highly recommended to us, and explored the downtown area of Newport. Neither of us had ever been there before, or to Rhode Island in general, but we had such a fun time.

Despite all of the walking around we did (about 7.5 miles in one day, according to my Apple Watch) and the fact that this was my first time wearing my white leather tennis shoes by M.Gemi, I was totally comfortable all day, and I didn’t experience any discomfort. In fact, these shoes, which are handmade in Italy, are like walking on clouds, and they have zero break in time! If you want to snag a pair of these incredibly comfortable sneakers for yourself, use code “ANNIEF60” for $60 off any purchase at M.Gemi.
I hope we get to spend more time in Newport soon, because it’s truly so beautiful, especially with the multitude of incredible lighthouses, beautiful bridges, expansive marinas, and dynamic coastline. It’s probably my favorite place in New England so far! I’ll be writing a lot more about what we did over our weekend in town, so keep an eye out, and let me know if you have any recommendations about where we should explore next on the East Coast!
