Prost Wine Bar & Charcuterie

Prost, which means “cheers” in German, is a relatively new wine bar and charcuterie joint in Little Bavaria, aka Frankenmuth, MI. I had the pleasure of visiting and sampling several of their menu options and drinks, and I LOVED it! I’ve eaten at nearly every restaurant in Frankenmuth (there aren’t very many), and this is by far my favorite and the most unique.

If you’re not familiar with what a charcuterie board is, it’s a selection of spreads, meats, cheeses, and vegetables such as olives or other pickled vegetables. They are served with a delightful selection of bread that acts as vessels for the variety of delicacies on the wooden platter. While we don’t eat meats, our friends that were with us helped clean our plates! Charcuterie boards are a really awesome way to sample local and international flavors without breaking the bank on multiple entrees. This place had lots of cheeses and spreads from Michigan and around the world! The waitstaff also offered to help create options that would be suitable for vegetarians, and they offer vegan and gluten-free fare as well.

While there are so many delightful places to find a drink in Frankenmuth, Prost is the best in my opinion! Not only do they have a killer selection of drinks, but the bartenders can also make just about anything under the sun, and they’re really friendly! How awesome is the drink they set on fire, the “My Old Flame”?!

The “Nightcap in Capri,” aka the delicious bread covered in Nutella and seasonal fruit, was absolutely delicious! The drinks were perfectly blended, the food was delightful, and the atmosphere is perfect for meeting with friends, a romantic date, or just hanging out on the weekends. Plus, during the warmer months, there is ample space to dine outdoors. I can’t recommend this place enough, because it’s so unlike anything else in the area, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the food and drinks are second to none!
