Westport Suite at Delamar Westport
Westport is one of my favorite spots in New England for shopping and finding great food. There’s an abundance of cute shops, flagship stores, and fine dining, which makes every visit even better than the last. This time, we stayed at Delamar Westport and had a fantastic time in their Westport Suite. Here’s why I recommend staying at Delamar Westport next time you find yourself exploring Westport.

Arrival
Like the other wonderful Delamar properties we’ve visited, our arrival and check-in at Delamar Westport was seamless. We pulled up, bellhops helped us with our luggage, and after a quick ID check, we had our room keys before we knew it. Valet parking is included with each stay, so we didn’t even need to worry about finding a parking spot in the busy lot.
The Westport Suite
Our suite was spacious, colorful, and such a fun place to set up shop during our time in the area. It had a full kitchen, a spacious bathroom with a soaking tub, stone shower, and plenty of towels, plus a king-size bedroom with a huge closet, a balcony, and two televisions. Of course, we didn’t have any time to watch TV during our stay, but that’s one of the things I love most about traveling– disconnecting!
This was definitely one of the prettiest kitchens we’ve had in a hotel suite.
The living room had a spacious sectional, and our welcome amenity was waiting for us upon arrival, which meant that we had a healthy snack of fresh vegetables and hummus to tide us over until dinner. I love when hotels are considerate like that, because it makes traveling so much simpler and more comfortable when I don’t need to hunt for something to eat after a journey.
Everything about the Westport Suite was perfect. We never heard another guest, despite the hotel being fully booked. Though our room overlooked the parking lot, we didn’t hear any traffic, honking, or other road noise. I am a very light sleeper, so it’s great to know how well sound-proofed the rooms are. Soaking in the bathtub was a wonderful treat after a long day, too!
Dandelion
We’ve never had a bad meal at a Delamar hotel, but this one is worth going out of one’s way to enjoy. So much more than a hotel restaurant, Dandelion was a love letter to Mediterranean food the likes of which I’ve rarely encountered in the United States. I’m so excited to share a dedicated post about this fantastic meal in my fine dining vertical, coming soon. For now, enjoy a few photos of our meal. Did I mention there are trees inside and ivy growing up trellises?
The Verdict
This was a fantastic hotel stay from check-in until check-out. We loved our room. The food was phenomenal. The staff were kind and helpful. The location was ideal. I wouldn’t have changed anything about our stay, and that isn’t something I can always say. Even the hotel’s thoughtfully curated decor and minimalistic design stand out in a sea of hotel rooms that are becoming increasingly similar. I hope we get to visit Delamar Westport again someday!
